^ Ditto w Eric said!!

Mine arrived today as well. So far so good! It's a good thing I saw the vids or I'd think this one wasn't an auto as the release is very clever & hidden, but easy to operate if you know how!! Ill try and get some pics and report more after some use.

Now bring on the Flipper!! ;)

Guys very glad your knives landed

They are wonderful edc's and mine rides in a horizontal sheath on my belt almost every day

No one has ever noticed it :)

Every now and than I will lightly lube it with tuff glide but any lube will do

I'm talking every few months or so

Thanks again and enjoy your blades :)

Hey Joe,
Would you happen to have a pic of that sheath?

Okay for me I can not carry a folding knife in my pocket

Reasons

Uncomfortable

Not secure

They get scratched up

Exposed pocket clips are gay :)

I am very regimented in my carrying of EDC items

My right front pocket has a money clip

Left front pocket business/credit card holder

I take great pride in my personal accessories and I don't shove multiple items in pockets to scratch etc.

I have lost dozens of knives from pocket carry

I am very active and I find a knife in my pocket not secure

So I carry things in the same place day on and day out and I'm a big utility belt style carry guy (Batman can't be wrong) :)

Or every other profession that requires a utility type belt application

Now in my world I either have a suit on that hides my kit or I'm outdoors and than it does not matter

I wear these accessories knives etc in and out of meetings all day and these items just blend in

I have been varying folders a lot more these days because it is hot and I can not wear cover garments

I carry my various folders in Horizontal belt sheaths from various makers

They cover the knives and are very compact

They blend into my black belts and disappear

No one has ever asked me is that a knife in there in in Disney world :)

These are various very strong simple nylon pouches from various makers

MaxPedition
Bench made
Etc

I've never lost an item while carrying this way and to be honest it draws less attention than an exposed pocket clip

I know that this type of commitment to carry is not for everyone but I always have some type of utility belypt carry thing going on weather it be in a professional setting or hunting big game in Africa

Different items but the concept is the same

Thanks Joe.
I'm in airports working on elevators all the time and hate worrying about TSA or loosing my knives. I'll have to pick one up and see how I like it.

Eric

It will blend in to a dark belt and you will be amazed that no one will even ask about it

People are used to alarming on pocket clips and vertical knife pouches

I literally walked around Disney carrying like this

Joe.. Thanks for posting the pics and giving some details. Ill have to pick up some of these sheaths and give them a try. I'm not a fan if clipping blades to my pocket as I normally carry my phone in one front pocket and my 'wallet' in the other. Plus like you mentioned, I've lost a couple blades that were clipped in my pocket or had a seatbelt pop them out and fling them on concrete... among other mishaps. Not fun and REALLY frustrating!!

I normally have a 1911 IWB on my strong side & a fixed blade EDC on a vertical cross draw when not at work. I need to figure out how to carry a spare mag as well... 8 rounds is likely enough in a self defense situation, but it never hurts to be overly prepared for a worst-case scenario!!

Enjoying my Fire... one question I have. It doesn't really matter much to me (assuming it won't effect function) but the blade is pretty off-centered when closed. It very well could be due to the auto/spring function and how it's designed, but thought I'd ask and post up a pic...

Joe/Matt, etal... what is your take? What does your Fire look like?

In anything hand made there will be on occasion things out of sorts

This will be remedied and that is why great companies have great customer service :)

Sorry for the delayed response... I figured this was an anomaly, but wanted to see if this was just a characteristic of the Fire and it's auto mechanism.

I've been in contact w/Matt and he's going to remedy this one... I'm sending it back to him today. Hopefully my post didn't come off as belittling or as though I'm not happy. I really like this knife! Looking forward to getting it touched up by Matt and back in my hands.
