Cut with your knife?

Forgot to say, knives are great tools, but for me they're also worry stones. In private, when contemplating something I'll almost reflexively pull out a knife and fondle it. In more public settings, my lighter fills that role.
 
my only kershaw that hasn't seen much use is my leek. just finished putting a new edge on my 350 & 301, this week I prob need to touch up my 560, chipped the edge a little doing yardwork. Mine get used. :thumbup:

Absolutely. I'm a semi professional musician who plays paintball in the woods. I always need a knife. ;)
 
Lol. Modding the microscope militia is wearing on Thomas.

The knives I carry the most get beat on and have to get resharpened once a week. I have warn the tips off of one of them and it's needing to be reprofiled and resharpened. So, ya. Mine get used. But I'm a demolition contractor. The knives get lots of cut time.

Hang in there Mr. W. Your work here on the forum and with KAI is appreciated. I believe those that use and lover there Kershaw outnumber the ... others. One side just tends to be louder than the other.

I use the heck out of my 0350 on the farm at work, and my 0550 is now my casual edc blade outside of work. Unless it's a limited run I am buying specifically for the collection, all of my knives see use.
 
I don't use mine for hard duty, but I do use them to cut things. But you can't discount the fun factor of flicking them open and just taking them out to admire them.
 
Rare Blurs and ZTs that I purchased BNIB and are still pristine, nope and probably never will cut a thing as long as they are in my possession. Readily available and plentiful Kershaws and ZTs, oh yeah.
 
I cut anything and everything that comes my way (no mercy) with the 561 and Tilt...I was never into straight blades but the Tilt has become one of my all time favs....awesome knives....Thanks for everything Thomas.
 
I only buy knives that I will use. Makes me feel better about spending the money I guess. I always have at least one knife to play with just about all the time. In fact I am rotating between a Sage 1 and a Knockout this morning... checking to see if my 0560 shipped yet :)
 
the zt500 is what replaced a Ti Tyrade on sierra camping missions...an ET is usually clipped on when hiking...my zt200 is used and looks it...same with the Spec Bump...the blade of my tanto leek looks new compared to the handle, which has dents and scratches from being dropped so much...my skyline has blade play from the one time i pried hard with it (sending it in is a waste of my time)...Needs Works has cut EVERYTHING...the ti JYD has stirred paint...it seems all the kershaws and zt's i have each has a story on how they were used...

no fetishes here; they ALL get used...and don't even ask me if i use my striders...
 
Carry and use regularly. No safe queens, although naturally some get used less than others. Leek and Skyline are two of my most used knives. Although, I admit I'll sometimes just flip the knife open and closed while at my desk. Some people twirl a pen/pencil. I flip my knife.

Really? If you have to qualify the post with "Try not to read into this"...then you should probably re-write the post. I don't think you're a bad guy; I've been pleased with your service and all of my Kershaw knives in the past, BUT, you definitely seem to wear your emotions on your sleeve with regard to the forum. How many times have we seen posts like this or the "I'm leaving the forum", "no more deadline quotes", etc. rants?

You have a lot of GREAT customers, don't let the 5% or whatever the % is make you come off as a cynic and turn your good customers away from the brand.
 
Yes I don't like to keep knives that I do not use. My ZT0200 sees the most pocket time breaking down boxes and packaging while my kershaw nerve being the beater to be used around people as not to get the MP's called on me.
