I gave him months... I mean months, and lots of excuses.

BOTTOM LINE.

I've been riped off.

I didn't want to do this. I've given the dude many chances, but I've hit the end of the line. He knows it, he's stopped communicating.
 
Since posting, he has sent me one of two knives he has owed me since December. I'm still not a happy camper. :mad:
 
Iceman, 3 people other than you have posted in this thread and 2 of them asked for more details. Any chance you could accommodate the very reasonable requests and do so???
 
Do you want me to post e-mail conversations? I feel as though I am being accussed of posting incorrect threads. How about the silence of the knife maker? I've told him I am posting these threads.

I paid for the listed knife and I have not received it. I've spoken with Daniel in January, and just about every other month since then listening to various excuses. I posted here as this is where I purchased the knife and I have gotten tired of excuse after excuse.

So, with all due respect, how would you like me to be more clearer on my explanation, tendy?
 
You're not being accused of posting incorrect threads. We as a community would just like more information about what transpired before we start making our own opinions. I, for one, would like to see the emails and conversation between you two, if that is not too much to ask for.

Exactly. A number of other members have also requested more info. I for one do not wish to make judgement on an individual on the info presented so far in this thread.
 
I find it curious that he posted (with no sign of an edit) a pending sale before your post of I'll take it.

I understand you being upset and mad, but what did he do? Sell the same knife twice? I have no idea, perhaps he will explain the posts.
 
Damm Iceman, This really sux. Hopefully this gets squared away.

I have had plenty of fine deals with Iceman. He is an Avid collector and a great guy!!!:thumbup:

Gee, I'm sorry, are you defending the absent party? The party who refuses to post? Must be because I have low post count.....

Maybe I contacted the seller via PM to seal the deal...........

Rather than get defensive, why don't you just post the communications back and forth between you two? Mr. Prentice has more than "just" his reputation to lose here; he may lose customers, money, and part or all of his livelihood as well. Do you really think it is too much to ask you to post all of the communications that you have had with him?
 
Iceman, I know you are upset, but there is no need to be defensive. All JatMat pointed out was that there was a little discrepancy with the post times. He never said that Mr. Prentice didn't do anything wrong, nor did he say you were wrong. He's just trying to get more information, just like the rest of us.

You offered to post up the email conversation, and a few members, including me, have asked that you post it up.

It is nothing personal, but like I said before, we need more details before we label someone as bad or a scammer.

Actually, I don't think it's to much for Daniel to post here.

I'm not on the defensive, I've shifted gears to the offensive.

It's rather hard to post our recent conversation as it was via telephone. But let me dig up the others that weren't via telephone.

It's still in Daniel's court.

I understand you are upset, but I don't think JatMat was accusing you of any wrong doing, here. I read his post as it appears that the same knife looks like it was sold twice. Please understand, your fellow forum members are not accusing you of anything. They are trying to understand exactly what is going on in order to best help you. At least, that is the way I see it.

Being defensive and lashing out at your fellow forum members for trying to get more information to help you is counter productive. We know you are upset. That is to be understood. But you also would like some form of resolution, would you not? If so, please answer the forum members' questions and let them help you.

Please don't take the questions here as an attack upon you, your actions or your character. Like I said, you are upset. I understand. We all understand. But when you take your case public, please expect that more information is required in order to sort things out. Again, no one is accusing you of anything. All that is being done is information gathering. If you can remain civil to your fellow forum mates, progress can be made, in my opinion.

Am I lashing out? Goodness , who wouldn't after what Ive been ripped off...

Keep in mind we are talking about TWO knives.

But, has anyone taken into account Daniel Prentice has yet to make a comment?
