Daniel prentice ripped me off!!!

Mr. Prentice,

Did Iceman ask a refund after he was notified that the knives were stolen or did he ask for replacements to be made?

also, I have sent him 3 emails asking him if he has gotten the blade I sent, and nothing.............

The blade he just got is much better than the other two that he originally purchased

he asked for replacements.

just last week he asked for a refund, told him I would ship the first knife in two days, and I did.

Right now I can turn a knife faster than I can send money, my family has only one income (me) as I have 5 dependants besides myself, didn't know it would be this difficult leaving the military. Had too,,, my shoulder so messed up even after surgery that I cannot fire a rifle from the prone or throw a baseball I am limited to movement from the chin-down. so having to adjust to one limitation of several I have has/is taking its toll.

last message for awhile, got to go polish the blade for him, I hope to ship it out in a week to a week and half. Then I only owe him the free one I am still willing to give no matter what he says about me.

Just a FYI, remember that Iceman refused to post any emails in regards to his complaint and the forum members requests. Just something to keep in mind. There are two sides to every story and obviously Daniel is responding here. It sounds like he HAS contacted Iceman - a detail not mentioned in the original complaint. It also looks like Daniel is working to make things right.

I love BladeForums. I also highly respect and like my fellow forum members. It is nice to see issues being resolved.

Daniel,
The emails from the ebay winners are strange to say the least. If you filed a police report, you should get your knives back. It is not your fault they received stolen goods. If anything, they should take their beef up with the pawn shop or the ebay seller. If pawn shops are in possession of stolen goods, it can be confiscated by law enforcement. You should not have to provide them with anything, especially a replacement knife for a stolen knife. They should take their loss to the ebay seller or whoever sold it to them.

This guy harold, who also goes on bladeforums, emailed me after he received it.

the guy who pawned it at the pawn shop done so around the time I reported it stolen, the detective said that he will try to make something stick on him.

the guy in Florida (harold) talked to the detective. the detective told me that they will not pursue him cause he is not in north carolina where I am.

So, long story short............ I have my blades stolen and I am the one going to suffer the most out of all.

Harold claims to be a Christian, but has no soul, no respect. I will never see that blade again or the others I am having to remake.

and to remake them will take time, I work a civilian job 60 hrs per week and juggle 5 dependents (my family) who always come FIRST.

If Harold is indeed here somewhere, I suspect I will speak for a lot of folks when I say that I definitely want to know what his BF nick is so I can avoid him. He is in possession of stolen property that he has no right to, regardless of how he acquired it or how much he spent on it. It should be returned, period.:thumbdn: Obviously, he has no character, common sense, or morals.

cause when I spoke with him he said he saw the original pics on BF and saw where iceman bought it. This person said it was never suppose to be his anyways.

Boy..........if only I could reach through the phone........................

I have to agree with what people are saying, this whole thread is unfortunate, but Harold just sounds like a whack-job.

I don't care about Harold, and the rest is just filler IMO. Daniel Prentice you offer lots of explanations, some tangents and then more excuses. Stand and deliver. Do not drag religion into this, because you are not/were not really being very Christian when you were ignoring people...were you?

Smoke and mirrors.

Let's get Iceman straight and then continue being the Worldwide Internet Police Force, the rest of youse clowns.

Focus people, focus. I am glad the heat generated by Ice is getting some results.

I am Ron LaBella and I endorse this message.

I too would like to know who Harold is, Daniel, try this, then give the IP address to a Mod, perhaps they can and will match it up to a user here on BF.
Good Luck,
Jim

Ron LaBella, I respectfully submit that Daniel has been trying to do that very thing. He has contacted Iceman and offered replacements. Iceman refused to post any email correspondences whatsoever when he was asked and even lashed out at forum members for asking. Daniel is posting here and has stated that he has already sent one replacement, is working on another and is throwing in a free knife to boot. Iceman could have chosen to share that information with us but refused.

Things happen. Daniel *did* contact Iceman. He not only offered to make things right, he *is* making things right. If you want to be angry, be angry with your friend Iceman who refused to tell everyone here about what was really going on. This could all have been avoided had your friend Iceman posted what was requested of him. As it stands, in my opinion, Iceman is in the wrong here.

Feel free to disagree, but rationally, I am left with no other conclusion. The facts speak for themselves. Daniel's knives were stolen - a matter of record. Daniel contacted Iceman and offered replacements - a matter of record. Iceman did not receive his replacements, custom knives, in what he considered to be a timely fashion. Daniel is a veteran and is disabled and suffers complications as a result - a matter of record. Daniel has already sent Iceman one replacement, is working on another and will be throwing in a free knife as well - a matter of record. Iceman posted a thread in Good, Bad and Ugly complaining that Daniel stiffed him - a matter of record. When asked for details about his complaint, Iceman lashed out at those trying to help him and to this day has not posted anything requested - a matter of record.

The fact of the matter is your friend Iceman acted suspiciously when he refused to offer any documentation and lashed out at us for trying to help him. I know if I was stiffed, I would be posting emails, letters, names, dates, everything I could get my hands on. Everyone I have spoken to about this agrees with me.

Daniel is here. He is working on this. You are not helping by demanding anything. The simple fact of the matter, and I cannot state this emphatically enough, is your friend Iceman withheld information regarding Daniel's attempts to make this right. If you must be angry, be angry with him.

Oh, and Ron LaBella, thanks for calling us "clowns". Us "clowns" went out of our way to contact Daniel to get this resolved. Us "clowns" had to put up with Iceman ranting and raving at us when we tried to help. Us "clowns" did our best to help out.

As for your statement, "Let's get Iceman straight and then continue being the Worldwide Internet Police Force, the rest of youse clowns.", what the hell have you done but come in here and insulted us?

You asked for help. We gave it. You insult us. You ask Daniel to make things right. He has been actively working to make it so. And we are "clowns". Hmmm...
