Dark ops for real?

There's lots of knives out there that look very identical in the photo however if you compare them side by side and hold both products, they're different. With that said, I do not like Extrema Ratio, I think they're overpriced among other things and I hope Dark Ops will be a better alternative. Their advertisements are laughable though and anyone that takes em seriously needs to get their head examined.

Last I checked there wasn't a "both" to compare, just lots of pretty photoshop and hype. Something about a grand FedEx conspiracy invloving covert de-animation...

Dark Ops knives will not cost less than the Extrema Ratio knives. The pre-order prices were right up there with the ER knives. If you think ER knives are overpriced, then you're going to think the same thing about the Dark Ops knives. The only differences are in the handles. Exact same steel, exact same coating.

All Dark Ops knives are is a bunch of mis-appropriated blades wrapped up in a colorful, but juvenile advertisement.

Master Shiva KI here, Take it from me, the best blades for the money are, hands down, Cold Steel. Their black blades, S30V and their swords are a flat
out steal, and they cut aggressively. Get them while you can, can`t go wrong.

i'm not sure Cold Steel even knows what s30v means. they certainly don't use it in any of their knives. Cold Steel are also widely known to be mediocre to just-okay products. heck, i always considered their "More Proof" dvd to be classified under "Comedy".

If this is the same guy I saw on the Shiva Ki web page, I would try to be quite polite if I met him in person... Even if he does have a good 20 years on me.
