Decided to ditch the flamed titanium scales on my para 3 and put on some carbon fiber from Aramis Akhmedov. It almost got held up due to the sanctions but miraculously arrived today. I have his scales on both this and my pm2. This one is his Raptor P model and works with any clip.

And lastly, put on some copper hardware on my XM-24. Not sure I'm going to keep the orange scale on but until I find something else this should work :). Update, not sure the copper hardware works, may go back to original. I am getting a bronze titanium scale so will see how that works.

So my collection has reached 40 knives. 19 benchmades, 9 spydercos, 4 hinderers, 3 chris reeves, 3 quiet carries, 1 microtech, and 1 zero tolerance.

Blade length ranges from 4.1 to 2.7 inches. Some I’ve customized, some are stock. Range of steels: s30v, s90v, s110v, s35vn, s45vn, CPM 20CV, M3, M390, Cruwear, dama ladder, damascus, Elmax, Vanax, maxamet, cts xhp, and cts bd1n. various coatings from satin, stone wash, Cerakote, and DLC.

So far, my favorite is a tie between satin finish and stone wash in s90v or 20CV and in the 3.5 inch range. Benchmade Osborne, Hinderer XM-18 3.5, or spyderco para 3.

My ultimate carry though is the Chris Reeve Mnandi. Hands down.

Very cool! Like the case too!

You're gonna need a bigger case.

😁

But seriously, nice case. Those knives look very happy.

😂 thanks. I pulled the balisong and the trainer out as it fit but just barely so 39 knives plus the moisture remover. The spyderco military is about the same length but is fine in there. I have two cases from vault case company from before so will just toss those in one of them

Man this hobby get's expensive lol. I convinced myself I had to have at least one Strider in my collection so I was lucky enough to find a Strider PT Gen 3, was kinda expensive so not sure if I paid a good price or not, I haven't found the same model anywhere so I'm not sure but anyway, Here it is. (price I paid directly from online dealer was $795). It's unique enough with the double flamed titanium scales and the tiger striped blade to set it apart from anything else in my collection. But dang is that blade tiny. Wish I cold find this exact style in an SnG but I assume it would be even more overpriced.

Thanks. Now I have a project for this weekend.
I never really thought about replacing clips like that until I bought the umnumzaan from someone that already had it. It does improve the comfort of the knife in hand a bit. I also always liked Spyderco’s wire clips but on the two above I love how the RGT clips look. I don’t mind they don’t carry as dee in pocket but it’s a good compromise. I was happy to get one for the techno 2 that had green in it to go with the standard green standoffs.

Very nice collection Gus. It's hard to stop once you catch this bug. Just a few short years ago I thought spending 100 bucks on a Kershaw was doing something lol. I remember thinking that whoever spends 600 to 800 etc on a knife needed their head examined lol...Until I stepped up and bought a few nice ones. If the wife only knew how much I've spent on my collection. But I could be spending it on worse stuff.
