Death Chat!!

Hey Guys... I got lucky and took 1st place and top overall in the the annual Steel Challenge again today!!! Shot about 1/2 a second slower this year than last year during my first run, then ran the course clean and shaved 3 seconds off my best time from last year in the top-gun shoot-off!!! Wish you guys could have made it up....even though the weather was crappy everyone still had a good time!

To celebrate, I need to buy a spoon!!! (Nate can grind it, Ban can frost it and Mr.P can put handles on it!!!);)

Hope you guys are all staying dry!!!

congrats stump, im sure it wasn't luck! we definitely have to plan a trip later this year up there to shoot, fish, etc.

Good stuff Stump! I am sure all of your perfect practice and due diligence paid off.

No can do on Thursday for me guys. I will be leaving for Blade early thursday morning. Its been a while and I am kinda excited about the whole thing. Really looking forward to it.

After all this time, I am finally almost ready to launch my new website. I really could have used a finish FAQ right about now on the site. I just wished that I had more time to work on it before all this.

Gonna try and print out some new business cards as well.

Have fun! I've never been to Blade before...one day.

Congrats on the website  We can get the FAQ cranked out when you're back from Blade and things quiet down a little for you. Shouldn't take much work to add it in the site, right?

All you need now is swag! I'd sport a Ban Tang t-shirt or hat around town :D

Ah...Blade forgot all about that. Well have fun and we will have to meet up after. Looking forward to seeing your site.

Thanks Guys! The steel challenge was just a local event to raise funds for survivors of families who have lost an LE family member. Here's the flyer... http://www.krgc.org/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/steelchallengeflyer.pdf

I was busy helping run shooters through the course, so I don't know if there are going to be any pictures posted anywhere. If they get posted, I'll post a link. you guys should come up for next years shoot! I'll let ya know when it's going to happen.

BAN...Have fun at BLADE and I hope you get more business than you can handle!!! Take some pics if you can! I wish I was going, but other adventures are taking priority this month.

You guys are more than welcome to come up anytime...just give me a heads up so we can secure a spot on the calendar!

Talk to ya soon,

Mike

Ban, you've been pretty quiet, bet you're swamped getting the new website up and finishing knives for Blade, all good things!

Just don't forget us little guys when you get too big! I have a cook-off/bbq competition (well more of friendly bet/pride thing haha) coming up and would love to sport your Santoku by the time of competition. At least if I don't win in the tasting portion, I'll look good with the Santoku in hand. :D

Speaking of food, my plants are just cranking out some growth. Remember this?:

That was what they looked like when we first planted them. This is what they look like now:

(you can see a hanging Fuschia in the top left...hummingbirds usually drop by for a meal :))

Had to get another thai chili transplant, high winds blew my old one over and broke the stem. I moved the old transplant to another pot (slapped it in the lil blue pot in the bottom right of top pic) since the roots are putting up a little shoot again. Might plant it to see if it's able to produce in time.

We also added a Gardenia. Love the smell :)

Wow...looks like they are all grown up now. All you need now is a ultra sharp santoku to slice and dice them up ;)

Yes, yes I do :D The Santoku should go to the top of my list... it really would get the most use.... :) BT4 and drop-point edc can wait....

Ban, you killed it with this one! Before I only had one Santoku to choose from, but now I have to decide between 2 awesome designs. I finally got set on my decision and you have to throw a curveball haha.

Mano,

Those plants look great!!! If spring ever gets here, they should just EXPLODE!!! You'll need a bigger deck!
