Deep carry / low ride titanium clips for Spyderco knives - Delica, PM2, Manix, etc.

Thanks SE - great pic! I appreciate the kind words.

You bet Darth - will do. Just so you know, the shorties will hit the FRN scales above the smooth Spyderco logo (where the OEM clip hits) and will pinch on the textured part of the scale. They will still work, but they can be hard on pants pockets ;-) The long ones hit on the logo. But either will work for sure.

thanks Casey.
definitely I will ordering more.
keep up the great work!

Is this the natural color they come in or is that anodized?

Hey JB - If I remember correctly, those are plain. I can anodize them a gray color, but it's really not that much different. It's actually hard to tell they've been anodized gray unless you have two right next to each other.

I'm wondering if anyone is interested in steel clips? Steel is not as flexy as the ti, and the weight difference would be minuscule. Plus I think I could do them for a bit less $. A possible downside would be corrosion, though I have found a powdercoater. Just wondering.

Jpac and Crazi - I have a powdercoater now, so for the next run that will be an option. Price depends on how many clips get done, but my guess is that it will add somewhere around $3 or $4 each to the cost of the clip (i.e., a powdercoated clip would run $20). So far the coating on my sample clip has held up pretty good.

Casey,

I have a couple of Spyderco Centofante 3's and 4's. The 3 hole pattern on those do not match the ones that are on the Delica and others like it. If I wanted a clip for a Centofante 3 or 4 would you like me to send you a clip so you have the hole pattern? I have a couple extra for that particular model.

Thanks,
David

That's exactly what I want, so I'll stick with the plain! I'm so excited for these to be ready, I love my PM2 and Gayle Bradley, I just always prefer deep clips so I don't carry them very often. They'll finally get some pocket time! I might try the oxiclean mod that was mentioned earlier for the GB, but honestly the plain color looks pretty good on it as well!
If the powdercoat works out well then I might pick one of those up in the future. As far as steel goes, if I end up getting an Endura or Delica in the future I'd be fine with a steel clip for it. Better retention, a little cheaper price and not much weight difference like you said. I'm a bit of a titanium junkie though, so I prefer titanium on my nicer knives, haha.

Hey David - Thanks for the offer. You bet, I'll see if the cutter would be willing to do a small run with that hole pattern. So yeah, send it my way and I'll make sure to get it back to you. Thanks!

JB - I know what you mean about being a titanium junkie. It's a real problem. ;-)

Copper - You bet, I'll hold on to a couple for you and shoot you an email when they're ready.

Casey

I'm interested in a short powder-coated black one, could you hold one for me when they are all finished?

Thanks for the email today Casey. Looking forward to your next production run.

Mike

Casey, for my next clip I’d like a short, dark blue anodized with no logo. Understand that you don’t require PP funds in advance, but when the clips are ready…is that correct?

Hello! Returning customer here! :)
I'd like to buy one plain longer version, one short with a green anodizing, one short with purple-blue, and one plain short! All with no logo please!! Thanks a bunch!

Thanks Xc, thanks Eddie, I'm hoping to see the blanks soon so I can start forming.

You bet Cairn, hold on to your paypal, I'll shoot you an email when they're ready.

Thanks Munchy for the repeat business! Wow, four, thanks brother! I'll send you a note when I have them ready to go. Gratzi!

Casey

My delica got excited when it saw this thread! I'll take one long plain version and one short plain version.
