Deep carry / low ride titanium clips for Spyderco knives - Delica, PM2, Manix, etc.

Good morning Casey.
I sent you an order for a Gayle Bradely clip this morning and saying thanks for the service! Question..I'm currently waiting on a Native 5 to show up, and wondered if the short clip will fit this model?

Casey,

I would definitely be interested in a steel version. Rigidity can be a nice thing to have in a pocket clip. I always run into people who think that Ti is stronger than steel, rather than the truth that is stronger by weight than steel (of course it is alloy dependent on both sides). Like you said, though, weight is almost negligible in the case of a clip. If no one but me has interest, though, it won't matter much.

Let me know how the response goes.

Chris

What type of powder coat are you looking at putting on? The right kind can be inexpensive and pretty much eliminate your worries about corrosion.

Thanks LC - I'll set a couple aside for you.

Hi Charly - Thanks for the order! I believe the Native 5 has G10 scales? If so the shorty will work fine. If it has FRN scales, the shorty will still work but I'd recommend the long version so the pinch point won't shred your pants.

Hi Chris - Thanks for your input. I'm still looking into the option of steel... the only problem is that the cost difference wouldn't be that much, maybe a couple bucks, since most of the cost of the clips is in the cutting and forming rather than the material, since there isn't much material in each clip. But I'll keep researching it.
The powdercoating is black satin, done by a professional powdercoating shop in Hayden, Idaho. So far my tester is holding up well. Corrosion shouldn't be much of an issue with the ti - it's pretty much corrosion proof from the research I've done, but for people who'd like black I think it will be a good option.

please set aside one long and one short reg finish please. are these in stock? If so send pm and i will fund pay pal

Hey EyeDog - I'd rather wait and take payment when the clips are ready, but if someone sends money as prepayment just to get it off their plate that's ok. So you can wait, and I'll shoot you an email when they're ready.

Hey Hogger - they are in progress - I'm waiting to get the blanks back from the cutter - and for sure I'll contact you when they're ready. No need to paypal yet. Thanks for the support!

Spaceman, hearing great things about your work!! Are deep pocket carry clips still available for spyderco paramilitary 2? If so, whatchu got? :) I would like a short un-anodized pair if you have them. Thanks!

Hey BB - thanks for the kind words. I'm sold out but have another run in the works. I haven't got them back from the cutter yet, but I'm hoping early next week so I can start forming. I'll shoot you a PM when they're ready.

Thanks,

Casey

Cool...well in that case I want 2 shorties and I will pay as soon as you say go! I've got two PM2's...one plain blade and one black blade...I would love a low rider for each

I might be interested in a low rider clip for my Stretch. I would want it to contact the handle where the Spydercvo logo is. What are my options? I saw a picture of a bunch of clips with numbers beside them but didn't see any pricing. I may have missed it. Or were those numbers dollar amounts?

Jack

Hey Jack - all the clips are $16 each, and there are 2 lengths. ere are some anodizing and soon-to-be powdercoating options that can add a few bucks. The longer length is better for FRN knives like the Stretch for the reason you mentioned - the pinch point is on the smooth logo just like the OEM clip.

There are some anodizing and soon-to-be powdercoating options that can add a few bucks, but I'll put up more pics when I get the next batch done. The cutter has the material, and I'm hoping to get back the blanks this coming week.

Thanks for the inquiry.

Casey

BTW Space Man, do you happen to do clips for the Zero Tolerance 0200? It's the newest added to my collection and I would like to replace the pocket clip. GREAT knife BTW, haven't had a chance to beat on it yet but the thing is built like a tank with incredibly smooth action. Can't wait to put it to use!
