It's nice to be able to buy a tool, but making your own is a whole dimension of difference!!Get hold of Martindale Electric in Cleveland, Ohio and buy some undercutting saw blades... You can buy HSS or carbide..... they are perfect for jigging..... Various widths and diameters..... I used to buy 7/8" and 1-5/16" outside diameter for undercutting commutators.....
I knew a guy years ago who had that as a tattoo. Arguably the most beautiful equation. One final blade etch idea from me. This scrimshaw of Euler's Identity on a little stockmanr8shell sent me never fails to give me joy. Who'd argue against a joy-inducing blade etch??

Sure looks like the same pattern knife!! How long is it, please??This is what I picked up at the weekend and its a Lockwood Real Pamper with a strange blade identical to the OP's knife.

It could certainly be called a "sheepherder"!! Maybe someone has seen it in a catalog!!??It’s 7” open and 3.75” closed. I don’t know it’s purpose is and that’s a mystery but I would like to know. It’s well made brass liners and rivets and lovely stag scales.

I'm not sure about 'sheepherder'. I'm pretty sure Lockwood had connections with South & North America where they experienced counterfeit knifes bearing their name from Germany, thats when the Pampa trade mark was used. They did make a lot of different types of knife including skinning knives. The plunt tip on this and your knife would be useful. I've been trying to find a resource online with the Lockwood catalogue with out much luck. I might write to Geoffrey Tweedale in Sheffield he's probably the best bet.It could certainly be called a "sheepherder"!! Maybe someone has seen it in a catalog!!??
