Deja Vu all over Again!!

Get hold of Martindale Electric in Cleveland, Ohio and buy some undercutting saw blades... You can buy HSS or carbide..... they are perfect for jigging..... Various widths and diameters..... I used to buy 7/8" and 1-5/16" outside diameter for undercutting commutators.....
It's nice to be able to buy a tool, but making your own is a whole dimension of difference!!
For a hobby, I tried tooling leather for a time -50 years ago now - but I was never enamored of the typical leather-stamping tools on the market! They often produced "Tandy hobby designs" when I wanted something more original!!
I had access to a machine shop back then, so I made about 50 of them, of my own design! I wish I still had them!!
Sold them when I was in dire straights, a new parent, and distracted from hobbies!!
Someone saw the value, and paid me a lot of money for them!! They freed up my designs, mostly on Belts and Handbags! I also wish I still had some examples!!
Back to Knives . . . . . . . . . . . . and the making thereof . . . . . . . . . . . .
And Etches!!

This is what I picked up at the weekend and its a Lockwood Real Pamper with a strange blade identical to the OP's knife.

It’s 7” open and 3.75” closed. I don’t know it’s purpose is and that’s a mystery but I would like to know. It’s well made brass liners and rivets and lovely stag scales.

It could certainly be called a "sheepherder"!! Maybe someone has seen it in a catalog!!??

I'm not sure about 'sheepherder'. I'm pretty sure Lockwood had connections with South & North America where they experienced counterfeit knifes bearing their name from Germany, thats when the Pampa trade mark was used. They did make a lot of different types of knife including skinning knives. The plunt tip on this and your knife would be useful. I've been trying to find a resource online with the Lockwood catalogue with out much luck. I might write to Geoffrey Tweedale in Sheffield he's probably the best bet.
