DEK2

Alright you two..

I think the DEK2 is going to be an excellent work knife. I almost always get OD Green micarta on a worker, but sometimes I prefer Terotuf. With this one, I said I couldn’t decide, so give me both.

Be careful what you ask for guys, Mooresville’s got jokes………

that really looks good. lots of one of a kind blades leaving the shop.

nice.

This seems to be the knife to go to when the SDFK is just a bit more than you can get away with at the wedding reception...but you may have to dismantle a Russian tank on the way home.
seeing how Russian tanks seem to pop apart, using that knife for the job might actually be a feasible option

They could have at least put the Terotuf on the bottom where your fingers will most often go. You know for grip.

Now that’s a very cool one of a kind combination Grenock Grenock , Nathan and Jo really did y’all just beautifully on that DEK2. That certainly qualifies for a CPK Encyclopedia entry, y’all got my vote 👍👍👍

Yeah Grenock Grenock .

Can't believe y'all at CPK would do him like that.

😜😂😂😂
Now that’s funny right there.

Yeah, it’s different. Full disclosure, this was not some thing I cooked up or asked for. I knew a knife was coming, but the scales were never specified. I think they just wanted to have a little fun and try some stuff.

I wonder how many folks will opt for the taco sheath vs. the standard sheath with drop loop or Tek-Lok?

I like the narrower profile of the taco for appendix carry vs. the standard sheath worn with DEK 1 in the same position. Not a huge difference, but noticeable.

The taco does take more effort to draw from, however. That can either be good or bad depending upon circumstances.

I have some taco sheaths for belt carry, but generally prefer pancake, also for pocket carry, where the pancake sheaths can sit a little deeper, and I don't like Ulticlips interfering with the sheath retention (most of which is created by the guard on the edge side of the knife).

And if you measure, the width of taco and pancake sheaths is surprisingly close.

I guess it depends on what kind of pants one wears as well. Shown this before, this actually works very well, also in the car. A 7" blade.

DEK 2 Taco above DEK 1 pancake...with the right edges aligned and the DCC clips above one another. You can see how much difference there is in this instance...though they are not the exact same knife profile. The eyelets on the left belong to the pancake sheath.
