So, is that the gist of it? His fanboys think that Jerry Busse did him in?
...or is that just the conspiracy theory of that one particular fanboy?
I don't think this thing started recently. I think it's probably been coming for a long time.
The fanboys who are mad at his cancellation are the same fanboys that cheered him on and emboldened him. They would kiss his @ss after every test and started to refer to him as "the King". He got blinded by his own legend and, suddenly, everything became "sh!t"..."This is sh!t", "Look at this sh!t", etc., etc., etc. His "testing" and harmless opinions morphed into school yard insults and him acting like his "tests" actually had some empirical value. He lost me when he started running his cake hole, in a disparaging way, in regard to knives about which I knew better.
I'm one person. However, if I felt he was putting out false info, I reckon that there were probably a lot of other folks who felt the same. When you're playing at that level, that kinda' nonsense can bite you in the @ss. Beyond that, karma is a real b!tch. Piss off enough folks, and it's only a matter of time before the ground under your feet swallows you whole.
The correspondence from Jerry gives me two thoughts.
One, I don't know Jerry Busse. I couldn't pick him out in a room of five dudes. I've probably spoken to him twice, on the phone, in the last decade. So, I have absolutely no reason to defend the man. However, from a "gut" standpoint, there is nothing about Jerry's correspondence that gives me any kinda' "disingenuous" vibes. I've read Jerry's posts about JoeX and have always felt that he (*Jerry) was intrigued and challenged by the idea of JoeX getting his hands on some INFI. I never gotten a single vibe that Jerry felt threatened about one of his knives being broken or shattered. For me, Jerry's correspondence, and the offering of some "optimized" knives, make me believe that even more. Who knows? Maybe I've been duped.
My second thought has to do with JoeX's "swan song" video. It was very cryptic. He gave info, but not much, just enough to stir up his fanboys and the other "influencers". It has me wondering why? Is he under some gag order or the like? Fine, then just say that. However, unlike Jerry's correspondence, the whole "cryptic" thing does seem a bit disingenuous. Beyond that, if he's not under a gag order or something similar, and feels really wronged in some way, why not just call someone (*or some folks) out?...old school, playground style. He still has the platform. In my past jobs, when there was a pretty heated issue, the absolute BEST meetings I had were the ones where everyone would go in and start slinging sh!t at each other like a bunch of rabid gorillas. Was it pretty? No. Effective and efficient? Absolutely. It put all the cards on the table. That has me wondering why JoeX hasn't.
Anyhow, back to your regularly scheduled programming...
