Diamonds in the Rough!

Amazing DE, Philllll!
Could be the nicest one I have seen!

Very nice Lloyd; I love that big jack. I wish I'd had more time to shop at the show. Maybe next year!

Thanks Barry! I like your avatar picture fine looking photograph:D. Let me know next year at the show and I will be pleased to watch your table for you (I need to sit down and rest more and spend less anyway) so you can out amongst the dealers and find you some additional treasure. Lloyd

Yeah, that is a fine photograph taken by a buddy of mine from down south!

I can always use some help with the table, then I can walk around and drool. :o

Lloyd, nice finds!!! Both are spectacular. I love the seal cap on the big one. So classy.

Hey thanks Phil! I appreciate the nice comments coming from a Diamond Edge collector extrodinaire:cool:

Just got in this Shapleigh Hardware Diamond Edge Congress. It is 3.5 inches long with fluted/rat tail bolsters. Has beautiful later style peach seed bone jigged handles a'la Schrade Cut Co  The knife is in excellent condition but the blades look to have been sharpened and used with minor corrosion or staining. There are no gaps In the back springs or liners and the transitions from the bone jig handles to the bolsters to the back springs/liners is near flawless with no skin catch when running fingers over them. There is no blade rub or even touching in the crowded blade well. The W&T is smooth and positive with no blade wobble from any blade when fully extended. All four blades are flush at close, half and fully deployed. The level of craftsmanship is exceptional and is unmatched in any multi blade modern traditional folder I have. I have also included photos of a Schrade Cut Co Congress folder I have. The two are identical in all just mentioned specifications and quality. The only difference are the shield, tang markings, slightly different bone jigging style and bone color. The DE is a more saddle brown with some yellow highlights and the Schrade is a more yellow golden brown. Your comments or any additional information are certainly welcomed and appreciated! Thanks for looking, Lloyd

Wow Lloyd, this is my first time really going through this thread and I must say, what stunning knives. Great score~
