Thanks Jack.

In the heat the dough was growing like crazy, so I've made half a dozen, had to go round the neighbours to give some away!

Don't worry, they didn't get a burned one ;)

This thread just hasn't been the same since Pete discovered TV dinners and potato chips! A crying shame, that man was a great cook (sadly shakes head) ;) :D

Ha ha ha! Well I'm not sure it would travel quite so well sir, the pizza I mean.

Damascus peanut was on garlic prep for me and my daughters ribeye with garlic butter and sautéed spinach.

Gaaargle drool. Raspberry Blonde. I just about inhaled that through the internet.
Normally I don't eat a lot of cake. Today we went to Sydney -haaahrrg(dracula cringing from a crucifix motion)with the kids (school hols).
The plan was go to Paddys Markets they spend some pocket money on a treat ,go for a Yum Cha in Chinatown adjacent and get the train home-a 2hr trip from wollongong to sydney.
Paddys used to be good with fresh produce ,seafood and interesting stuff. Now its about 3 acres of utter rubbish. Loads of "aussie "souvenir garbage ,mobile phone covers and all that . Its pretty much an extension of Chinatown now. Very disappointing. Even my kids who normally can't wait to throw their cash away didn't buy anything.
However ! Chinatown offers some fantastic restaurants and we discovered this cake shop for morning tea.The cakes were a paltry 2$ so we got one each. sat down on a bench and began to devour. They were so rich and sumptuous we would have been flat out with one between the four of us.I used the F&F to slice of dainty little pieces . These are the remains .

Thought of our good pal Uncle Andi when I got home from work this afternoon.

I used my Bulldog copperhead from Solingen Germany to slice my catfish filet, and enjoyed with the catfish (and stewed okra/tomatoes and cheese grits) this delicious Bavarian beer.

Great beer Doug, I know Pete is also a fan  It could perhaps be the 'Did your Traditional knife get a workout today?' house beer! :D

My Tidioute 66 Serpentine Jack helped me and my girlfriend polish off a large punnet of strawberries while on a walk in the Yorkshire countryside this afternoon (very hot day here) :)

When we got in, I rustled up a couple of Greedyburgers (double burgers with chipotle tabasco, fried onions and mushrooms, cheese, and spicy tomato and caramelised onion chutney) with salad. I'm afraid I lunched out on the pics a bit :o

That's funny Jack, I was just scrolling down, came across Doug's picture and went Mmmmmmmm, then I got to your post
:-)

My new Svord peasant knife, after being re profiled and properly sharpend with a nice mirror edge (sorry for the poor pic,) being used to prepare a lime for a couple of after dinner tequila shots....

It's spooky sharp now.
