Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

The 6232 sliced some chipotle gouda to go along with my salad at lunch today.

That's a stern test of a knife's ability!

Are you taking gravel/aggregate up to paths for repair work? Looks really interesting. Wish I could lend a hand.

My tasks just now were far more mundane: used the Forum Knife 11 screwdriver to replace a bell on the bike. It's not exactly the best tool for the job and I was thinking to myself be careful not to drop it&of course it happened. Whack on the concrete garage floor..:barf:...by great good luck it hit the rear candle bolster no bones broken just a slight nick. I usually prefer Barehead knives, but this time the bolster saved the day. Should really have used a small screwdriver but all's well that ends swell end...:D

After months of babysitting my little garden I am finally getting some nice big green tomatoes that will be ripening soon. My little 76 jack has been busy pruning and cutting cloth for tying the vines to stakes and whatnot. Been a good run. Will be posting some pics of ripe tomatoes soon mehopes. :)

Look forward to the pics Will, enjoy your tomatoes :)

Hi Will

Yes, we're restoring a trail that is suffering from erosion damage from all the rough weather we've been having and lots of people!

Luckily the helicopter took most of the strain.

Not the best pic's tricky taking them and attaching bags but you get the idea:)

Sam

Thanks guys:)

It's a relief to get the bags up there, the reason it happened today is because someone else's lift had to be cancelled as their bags were too heavy. Although we were careful, without weighing you can't be 100% until he tries to lift one.

Now we can get on with building the trail, yes, most satisfying:)

Sam

I have seen bags like that being carried by helicopter in the English Lake District Sam, and have also seen slabs being lifted, but as I recall with a bigger helicopter.

I hope the rotor blades gave you a bit of draught at least, been a very hot day today.

Your posts certainly represent the polar opposite to my sandwich making! :D
