Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Cooking for friends tonight, but I took the easy way out and used the chef's knife for vegetable prep. Only thing my LF&C did was open a bag of pepper jack cheese, and a bag of slivered almonds.

Oh well, I'm posting a pic of it anyhow, obviously not a recent one.

Used my Camillus TL-29 to help me replace one of the seals on a washing machine and one of the taps.
 
Back on the rabbit food today!



We've had a bumper crop of summer fruits here, and market prices are very low, so I thought I'd stock my freezer with raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries. My Castor helped prep, and there were plenty of strawberries left for post salad dessert :)



I'm going to have to lock this knife in a cupboard or something! :D

Can’t seem to keep my Castor out of the kitchen! It helped me fix a lunchtime sandwich.



Later, it set about a whole pile of sweet peppers, as well as garlic, vine tomatoes, and red onion, which I roasted with sherry and rosemary. I usually have this with spicy roast potatoes and asparagus or green beans, but today I just settled for some rice.



But what’s that up in the top left-hand corner of the main picture? Has ScruffUK popped round for tea with the Barlow he received from Sitflyer today? Or...

All will be revealed, in due course ;)
 
You and Scruffuk seem to get a great use of those Spanish knives.. Definitely turning this thread into a very deliciously looking pocket knife recipe book. Keep them coming..

Jack is having a feast.. and those strawberries look very tempting. In my area they had a bad year and many of the crops went bad too quickly so prices climbed up and even then the few strawberries that were around were gone sooo quickly!.. soon season for blueberries though.

Thanks guys. Wish I could send you some strawberries Edmundo, I have another punnet in the fridge which the Castor will be dealing with later.

However, the Castor was not the only knife I was carrying today, I was also carrying my Case Texas Jack, and it got to open a surprise package from Charlie containing...

I had a Highland brew at dinner tonight (Gaelic Ale) -- no knife needed as it was on tap. Keep meaning to stop by there when I am in Asheville visiting my son. Maybe next time.
