Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Why thank you sir....I'll have another slice just for you :)

What better way to break in a new knife than with a fine piece of Yorkshire's Wensleydale cheese.

Delicious!

Very nice Thom.

I'm calling in at a local ale festival later, so I anticipate my knife might get some use there ;)

I decided to stick it to the man and make a pie with Rainier cherries (a hybrid, sweeter than the usual red kind apparently.) I don't have one of those cool syringe-style cherry pitters, so the pattadese helped.

I read that at one point these cherries sold for $1 each in Japan. Movin' on up...

^^ Corr, they look tasty. The Japanese like to pay for their fruit....for their everything!

Who needs a cherry pipper though, when you have such a beautiful knife on hand.

I've been slogging away in the kitchen a bit since I got back from work and the shops (lunchtime finish).

Thought it was high time to have a bit of refreshment so I decided on a bottle of my dads homebrew, his first batch in years.

Pressed the Wenger 'Standard Issue' into service....

No pics, because I was busy prepping veggies and cooking, but my Bulldog copperhead sliced some carrots, celery, and mushrooms for a quinoa/fresh vegetable sautee for dinner tonight.

I let the chef's knife handle the broccoli, asparagus, peppers, squash, and zucchini.

Tasty looking knife...and the bread looks good, too!

Sounds good Doug :)

My Castor helped me make a quick light lunch.

Did some serious whittling to my latest "soon to be" Walking Stick.

Not a single "hot spot" on my prized Barlow
