Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Used my GEC 55 on the mail and several packages today. The wharncliffe blade made quick work of the packages.

I carried my Charlow most of this week, and I used it everyday at least once. I never think to post here. Today I used it as a worry stone while studying for my last final of the semester, then to open the new phone which means I will now be able to post decent pictures.

Used my Conductor Whittler to take off a chunk of a ginormous chocolate bar someone brought in to work. Good thing too or I would have had to eat the entire bar.

Antipasti: bresaola, sopressetta, genoa, provolone, olives from Italy and a Baguette for lunch Peanut on hand....

It's a licensed Colt peanut but made by Rough Rider. It's my favorite EDC.

I had to switch out my Buck 709, which is 440C with a BOS heat treat. The darn thing take forever to sharpen, the steel is ridiculously tough...! You could sit there for half an hour on a fine stone and get nowhere. Lol.

That is a great little knife. I used to have a case peanut but gave it away to a member of my wedding party. I just can't justify right now unpocketing almost $50 for a peanut knife, but I just ordered one of these rough rider peanuts in yellow scales with a great looking shield. Thanks for the heads up!

You can also find used schrade old timers 1080t and others in great condition. I won that buck yearling for 8 bucks shipped I soaked it in oil and then rehabbed it. I'm trying to find another one right now lol.

Looks great! Nice green bone on that one, and I've always been a fan of the heart shield they used on those.

Thanks. The heart shield and the green bone were just two of the several selling points that attracted me to this one.

Here's a little sharper photo.

Picked up a light lunch today...

Well, because I do not have the ability to unhinge my jaw I utilized my Charlow to make this beast a little more manageable.

That was one mean Reuben!

A large cardboard box (60"x48" pieces) required reduction to small pieces so as to fit in the recycle bin. The D2 sheepsfoot blade of this Queen half-Congress was more than up to the task. There was more resistance than if I had stopped to dig out a razor knife, but it wasn't difficult slicing. I was impressed with how controllable and comfortable this thin single spring knife turned out to be.

the last six posts with no knife content have been moved to the lounge.
This thread is about knives, not sandwiches.
