Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Was repairing one of my Dad's old belts and checking holsters/sheaths for wear...that Schrade 1095 is good on leather.

^ Cool pic

My Charlow helped me make Bangers & Mash! ;)

Thanks Jack! That is def a tasty looking plate (and the Charlow, superlative as always)! We had red beans and cornbread today.

I used my new sodbuster junior to slice the cheese and raw garlic for my egg and cheese sandwich. (I've been running a slight malaise. The raw garlic will kill it or me.)

My recent batch of envelopes glue themselves shut when they're run through a laser printer. So I've been separating them with the sharp edge of this spear point, but usually the envelope gets murdered in the process.

So, I discovered that the dull swedge is perfect for the job. It separates them without all the gore. A very minor victory.....yeah.

Sliced up a Granny Smith for an evening snack using my personal steak knife, melon tester, aka a doctor's/pharmacist's knife....

I used the little old Imperial to clean up after the drill where I enlarged the birdseye rivet holes to accommodate cutlery rivets. Both of these are from the same estate sale yesterday.

And used my new sodbuster to shave off some nubbins for an extra-long mattock handle. (You wouldn't believe the ice around here, unless you're somewhere as bad or worse.)

What a nice looking knife Gary! I love the handle shape on this one, looks like it would be great for a choked grip for detail work and peeling.

Nothing cuts a sink template like a wharnie. Easier to hold then a razor blade and much easier to cut the corners over a blade with belly

Not really - today mine prepped a salad and then laid out in the sun - pretty slow day on the homestead...
