Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

My stainless sodbuster jr helped with the brush-bundling for the monthly pick-up, and it cut a knackered garden hose into trash-friendly lengths.

I used my Magnum Fox River to show a cantalope "who's boss" this morning :D

and then took it on a hike where it came in handy splitting a little kindling for a mid-day feast on the Emberlit:

Styling there, SH! I guess it is still cool enough to break out the stove. The Emberlit is a great little one. I love mine.

Even the amazing Janette has respect for the quest knife-"i'm not immersing it!!"

This Camillus goes back to around 1970- probably my fifth edc. I saved up something like $30 for it, and was disappointed when it turned out not to be stainless. Looks like I carried it a while though.

im sure someone has already thought of this but after seeing all the opinel mods i decided to carve an easy open notch and then at work i needed a tube cutter and was going to just cut it with my knife but saw my new eo and it was like a built in tubing cutter. We had a guy puncture the brand new inflateable tube on a 30foot italian race boat because he used a razor knife to cut this tube and when it cuz he had so much pressure on it he stabbed the boat! So i might be making more of these for the gyys at xmas. The tube is for taking oil samples from engines before we change oil

Radio Jack & Pemberton.jpg

Another Radio Jack here! We had to open some real vanilla ice cream, and a new coffee maker! The 1095 blade sliced right through the packages. The Pemberton stands by as backup.

Sliced some cheddar cheese, and opened a bottle of coca cola.

Green olives, Boar's Head horseradish cheddar and homemade maple-smoked Hungarian partridge for lunch. The Charlow was an essential component. ;)

Yup - homemade sun tea, with mint and honey. If it had been any later though, it would have been an ale from the brewery down the street...

My Libert Belgian Army clasp knife helped me re-haft the wee hammer I use for peening penknives

Had a bunch of bags of mulch to open up yesterday, and then needed to tie up some frames for snap peas. The Bull Nose has become my new favorite yard knife.

Where did you get the bail for that handsome Bull Nose? And do you have any issues with the blade clearance when closing?

You can get them at collectorknives.net.

As far as clearance - yes, if the bail is flipped up and over the liners, the blade will hit it. I've never had it be an issue though.
