Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

I finally harvested a few tomatoes that just aren't getting any redder.

Used my opinel #8 to edge the sidewalk and driveway. Works better and faster than my neighbor's "power edger"

Yes, it works great and fast or are you asking if I actually do yard work only when I have to. I hold the knife between 45 deg and 90 deg angle. Only did it one time. My wife liked how it looked and I said I did it with a very inexpensive knife but been looking at a couple other good knives. This planted the idea of me getting another knife to do yard work.

Priceless, Brett! My favorite is the first picture....just look at those smiles! It does not get any better than that, my friend. You are truly blessed:D

^^^ Yep ^^^

That is one cute kid, there.
And I don't automatically think all little kids are cute. :p

I used my forum knife to prepare some dove for dinner tonight, but I was too hungry to stop and take a picture. :D

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Gevo, you are right. I am extremely blessed.

Hope all find a reason to cut a few things today.

One of my cottage clocks stopped, the minute hand caught on the hour hand. I Used my new Schrade Cutco Walden to cut a sliver to replace the lost pin that holds the washer that keeps the minute hand in place.

Dove if one of my favorites.

I used the Schrade Cutco to open yet more boxes, and the Western stockman to whittle a shovel handle into a rake handle. (Gives me almost a foot more reach than the handle that had fallen off.)

Skinned a rabbit with the spey on my 303, and then used it for some ribs that were grilled with the rabbit.

Then it was time to wash it and let it dry in the sun, before i put some oil in the joints.

No picture to document the workout but...
I spent the whole morning at work today. Not an ordinary hospital shift though: we had to empty the whole drug/devices deposit and fill it again, with order and logic. It started like a neat job (being the medical counsellor on the new setting - concept work). It ended up as a "get your hands dirty" job (like "we're moving house"). So my SAK tinker had to handle screws and such, while my CSC lockback took care of the cardboard boxes (glad I had a knife in D2 :)).
Funny enough, my head nurse made nice comments on both knives :)
Pic of the knife (I did reprofile it since this pic was taken):

Cut up some old tarps with this mystery hawkbill. It has no markings and seems to be stainless. It did a fine job, that's all I know. :)
