Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

The 23 is really got a great patina going, Duane! Good looking knife and the food it going to be great.
Thanks Gev, it was yummy, my mouth is still burning ;) The 23 has lived the past year or so in amongst my kitchen cutlery. It's currently in pocket, with an appointment with a hard Arkansas stone :D

Great stuff Duane  My Joker has just helped me make chilli :) I neglected to take pics :o But it looked something like this! ;)

Except the ingredients were a bit different! :D

The Buck 110 was my food prep knife today as I was eating fried spleensausage. Wonderfully with potatoe salad.
As I expected, it worked great :p

A sink in the church froze into a block of ice because of a drip caused by a closed door that blocked the furnace.. My "trusty" EDC (a 657 Western medium stockman with punch) was used as an ice pick today. This was re-handled by Glennbad in Gabon ebony and given to me by Flint Hills ... perfect in every way.

It was warm enough to paint outside with latex paint in San Diego today with the temperature just shy of 70. We recently had some support columns replaced on the front porch. We had primed them last week. Today I topcoated them. I used the Case CV sowbelly to cut some cardboard to kneel on. I also found a spot where sap had worked its way to the surface of the new support. I used the sowbelly to scrape it off before I applied the paint.

Nice work and nice knife! :) Looks like you're really putting it to good use.

That looks good Pete

I'm planning to use my Joker to help me make a curry later, could do with a bit of heat at the moment! :D

Homemade Margherita Pizza (by my better half) and a bottle of Sangiovese. I don't do the cooking, but I can sure cut up that Pizza!

Great pics and food as usual, Jack and Pete:thumbup:

Speaking of whom… My wife suggested I post this quilt she recently made for her boss, who is a big University of Michigan fan and a cat lover. She just finished this yesterday, and used a purple Vic Classic I gave her for Christmas to trim threads as she hand stitched the final edge (or something like that - I don't understand much about quilting, other than she has some fancy machines she uses for a lot of the work). I'm quite impressed that she'd include the "go Michigan" motif, since she and I are both Purdue grads. :D Not sure how one of the dogs snuck into the photo.

(This is identical to a post I made in the "Pioneer to the Rescue" thread in the Multi-Tools and Multi-Purpose Knives subforum (aka SAK subforum) a few minutes ago. I apologize if such cross-posting is illegal, discourteous, or environmentally unsound.)

Used my Pioneer Electrician today to cut a "belt loop" into a little pocket sheath I made from a section of the wrist strap of an old baseball glove. Also used the awl to drill a hole through a wooden cube I had to turn it into a bead that I could put on a shoelace lanyard for the sheath in case I want to use it that way. Versatility, you know. ;) Oh, and I "softened the edges" of the cube a little bit with the Sheepsfoot blade, too.

Here's a pic of the sheath with Electrician and Case Peanut peeking out.
