Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Inquiring minds want to know what's inside that sandwich :)

Those are thick cut potato fries (we call them chips) - The Chip Butty is a classic English dish! ;) :D

Earl helped me make a little snackette last night ;)

I've heard of the bacon butty, but I toast mine. I also love thin sliced country ham (dry cured) in a sandwich. I put my ham in a cast iron skillet with a little water, to tenderize and remove some of the salt, drain off the water, then fry it with a touch of butter.

I understand the chips reference but never tried them in a sandwich.

A toasted bacon sandwich is a good choice Jerry  You should give the chip butty a try sometime, you need to cut the potatoes pretty fat, and deep fry them in hot oil. Better still, come visit! :)

Not much of a workout but we will keep trying... :D

I really use my knives for eating. Sometimes I forget a fork and use my knife instead. Especially fruit. Been eating fruit with a knife since I was a kid.

Nice pick Jamie, the workout has to come before the beer though ;)

I use them as a fork or spear as well Texasshipagent, just make sure the spine is facing you when you nimbly bite or else..you might have a situation on your hands.

Earl certainly had a work-out today (see the Earl thread)! ;)

I was just curious you know, say your in the Outback with the family, no mate that's not a knife this is knife ! And break out the old Barlow to slice up the ribeye [emoji41]

That's a beautiful knife Brumby and an even prettier fox:D
I love the bone on your knife, it's probably one of my favorites:)👍🏻

Cherry plum tree just finished fruiting decided to prune. Used my GEC#48 clip blade to scratch test branches before lopping em off. Job/knife combo just seemed right over pulling out a strider :p. think I'll try using the trimmings to smoke a tri tip or ribs. Usually I just bend the branches, if they break off guess they were dead.

In my opinion, the fox would be prettier were it still alive. If you eat it fine......otherwise......
