Did your Traditional knife get a workout today? -Part II

Poor Vic had to play putty-knife on the roof.

Some mineral spirit type paint thinner will take care of that for you.

A couple weeks ago a storm knocked down a tree at the edge of the property. I've been thinking about projects to do with all the free wood, but hadn't gotten around to any. Last night when I was unpacking I came across my bushcraft kit and decided that today would be a good day to show my niece and nephew how to make a spoon. They're more video game kids, but they got really excited about my project and started work on their own spoons. I reckon it's time to get them their own knives! What a fine morning indeed!

Still a little more shaping and sanding to go, but it's coming right along.

Making some chicken salad for lunch, from last nights grilled chicken leftovers. My Santoku from Vince (VCM3) did all the work. I love this knife, 440C and Rosewood from Tony Bose. Thanks again, Vince!

The "Jack Russell" from Jerry Halfrich was in my pocket and insisted on being in the picture.

I used my Taylor-Schrade LB7 to cut some frozen chicken gizzards and hearts off the block for my ramin noodle soup.

I used my Buck 301 to de-brand my truck (remove the company decals).
Boss ... former boss, that is ... informed me on Thursday that my truck and I were terminated. I start with a new company on Monday. Better money and more miles, along with not being given TEAM runs in a SOLO truck. (Kinda hard to meet delivery schedules when you can't legally run the hours to make it on time.)

Congrats on the better job, afishhunter.

I used this Ulster a little harder today than I might have if it had cost me more than $2 on my trip east- scraped some grass roots out of a crack in the driveway I was calking. Also whittled the plug for the calk tube that I didn't use up.
I put some oil on the handle to get rid of the white film of broken-down plastic, as I read in another thread here recently.

I've used this LF&C pen knife to open 50 pound bags of whole shelled corn the past couple of weeks so my wife could feed the local "wild" ducks. She's distributed almost 200 pounds of corn in 12 days!!

Here's a charge of the duck brigade hoping for some free corn.
