Both of mine are melted buttery smooth.
Wish I could say the same. I've had $8 Ganzos that blow this out of the water in terms of smoothness. My S110V and BD-1 Manix's are both perfect too, wish this one matched up. Oh well, it happens.

I'll gladly buy it off of you if you want to get rid of it....
For which many, many thanks, Jonny! My second one is going to another member here overseasPilsner and this one would be to give to my wife, she's a knife nut too!
No pics yet, but this is my first Spyderco and I’m impressed. It’s nicely centered, evenly ground and sharp. I really like the materials chosen for this run — nice job DLT. I’m used to Axis locks and this lock feels much stiffer, but other than pulling the lock back the action is smooth. It’s bigger than I thought it would be, so it won’t be going to work with me but i’ll Take it hiking.
I’d love to see a Para 3 in this configuration.
Also less likely to have the spring break than the Omega springs. The caged ball bearing lock (CBBL) on the Manix 2 is much stiffer than the Axis lock and it will likely not soften over time. You'll just have to get used to it. On the flip side, it is more securer than the Axis lock in closed position - much less easier to shake open than the Axis lock.
I'm sure glad that I got home a half hour too late & these were all sold out by the time I got online. I thought I really wanted one, but now that they're actually in people's hands, I can see that they're really, really ugly, and probably not even close to Spyderco's normal high standards.
(Sour grapes)
I think this statement would be mostly false. Both of mine were perfect in every way. Most others have been great as well. Yes, sour grapes...

On the other hand, folks are offering their spares at cost, on this sub-forum. To my amazement,91bravo was supremely generous, a member of our community. He did me a solid, and we have never met, living literally an ocean apart. It is not the first time that a great member has helped me out on this amazing site, @Dopic1, and I am truly humbled.
Scott, Jonny, you are the best.

100% 91bravo, spot on!That's what forums are supposed to be about! A sense of community, where we help each other out, not price GOUGE the sh*t out of someone for a personal profit...
