DO NOT BUY FROM Spydie Guys or habadash2010 on EBAY!!

I guess it was to be expected that Jess(owner) would not even try to explain or more importantly correct this matter. So all of those who said they had good experiences, I'm really glad it worked for you, but no good seller would do this...which is just to ignore a person who is just trying to get what he paid for.
I'm just updating you all as I said I would.

Well Andrew, this is not much of an update. It sounds like you were waiting for him to show up here because another member sent him a link to this thread?

If you're not pro-active enough to do something for yourself then I guess you have to "take your licks" as harsh as that may sound.

FlaMtnBkr and I both told you the same thing essentially and it doesn't sound like you've done anything? If so, that would be an update.

I actually have left 2 emails since this thread started. I have tried to contact them through Ebay, but the only way to do so was through other items listed by them. Plus the many sent last year, and into this year. As I stated I am now using this forum after many unsuccessful attempts jus to contact them now, and is my only way to get some sort of justice and try to help others not get taken. Proactive?? I really cannot be more so. I saw another member send this link to them which I did not do, and was thinking that this would have gotten at least some sort of response from them which I was wrong. By the way, thank you to the member that did send this link to Spydie Guys for me.

I realize that you are in Canada, but have you tried calling them on the phone?

You might try: 817-876-6312

Did you buy it with a credit card? Do a chargeback - number is on the back of your card. I assume you didn't or you would have done that already?

Losing money sucks. I don't mind people making mistakes, but when they stop communicating all bets are off.

I could give a rats ass about money, but I just don't like getting ripped off.

- Let as many people as humanly possibly know
- Send them emails from different email addresses if need be
- Call them and leave them lenghty messages. (All Polite ofcourse):):p
- Ask questions and after questions about my refund thorough their listed Items
- Contact ebay
- Make a facebook group:D
- Post on as many forums as you can (first check out forum rules)
- Involve Police or any legal recourse
- Make youtube videos (Funny ones ofcourse how you miss your knife, and why you don't have it)
Just overall bug the hell out of them into giving your money back

Do everything as honestly as possible and with as much class as possible.

I've bought from them before but I don't like the way they treated some of my fellow knifenuts. It ain't right.

I used to purchase from Spydieguys, but now I mostly use Poor_fish.

The only problem I had with Spydieguys was they used to charge $6.00 flat for shipping and the actual postage when received was around $2.00. I absolutely despise gouging. Handling fees should never be double the postage.

FWIW they don't do it anymore after I assume many people complained.

Or just open an "item not received" case with eBay within the 45-day period and get an immediate refund.

Hello everyone, just wanted to say that Spydie Guys never did at all try to contact me even after many emails, calls etc. Please beware of them.
I just thought I would just post this after many months after this thread started, to give an update.

Have a nice weekend everyone

Andrew

I would never buy from them in the first place. Definitely not a dealer that will look after you if something goes wrong.

If your in Canada try caledon2 on Ebay. Top notch seller.

Last year I purchased 2 Spydercos from them. I rec'd one. I got no response from them on the 2nd. They stated that they were moving to a new warehouse. I lodged a complaint with PP after 30 days of no response and rec'd a refund. I won't be buying from them at any time. Jim

Right on, James, that's exactly what the OP should have done before his time for recourse through eBay expired.
I have bought tens of knives from eBay and never lost money because eBay and PP are so biased in favor of the buyer. However, you have to be pro-active when you feel something is not right.
I believe that if the OP had opened a case after a week, he would have gotten Jess' attention. From what I heard, that guy is a bottom feeder and he will try to screw you if he can. So you should not leave him the slightest opportunity to do so.
Or you can take your business elsewhere, like Rob I have had very good experiences with PoorFish, and WhiteMountain is also very good.

About a year ago I asked Spydieguys a question about one of their items -- I never received a response. So I didn't buy from them. I've since made several other similar purchases, albeit from other sellers, so it wasn't the only sale they lost.

Wish I found this before I ordered!!!!
Selling blades they don't have in-stock. Then telling me 10 days latter!
Yay, Spydieguys, you rule!!!

Threads like this never get bumped to the top often enough. SpydieGuys are a disgrace, even by eBay standards, makes you wonder how their bloody rating system works...:jerkit:

Yeah, I always thought that they would be a good company, mostly because of there name and there youtube videos, but after reading threw their feedback right before I was about to purchase a spyderco Gayle Bradley, I sent them an email making sure the item was in stock. a few days later they replied that it was on backorder and it would be the end of summer before they would have anymore, but for some reason it still says 'more than 10 available' to this day. Then, as bad as I hated to I put a last second bid on a really cheaply bid leafstorm. The item was supposed to ship within one day, and it took them over a week to ship it. Almost two weeks to arrive. The moral of the story is, YES, SPYDIE GUYS SUCK @#$%
