Do you EDC a Mega Folder?

Hello!
Never did before - since today I do! Al Mar S.E.R.E Attack. The BIG old model with neopren scales. All in all a bit larger than 25 cm (!).
Unfortunately I have no idea what to do with such a knife. Twice as long as a SAK, way more weight than a Buck 110...
Any suggestions?

Best regards,
Recon8

I don't right now, but I want to pick up a T3 and the 5.5 new voyager, it looks fantastic!

Well its most often afull size Burke Res.or and a custom skirmish, witch is about as big as they get..either you like em or you don't . Live well its the best revenge

Lately I've rotated a CS Rajah 2, ZT 301, ZT Mudd, and CS Clip point Voyager X2 in my large knife part of my EDC. They're usually my s.h.t.f. knives though. I try not to use em at work though because most of my coworkers are like the definition of non knife sheeple. The Rajah 2 is really comfortable for the size, but my Zt's clips are crazy stiff so i usuall y just drop em in the pocket with a long lanyard. the voyagers probably my most carried of the bunch.

I don't carry "mega folders", usually when I am at my job my knives have to look a certain way, non threatening and of an average size blade. Since I deal with people having a 5-6" inch blade is a bit excessive or at least that is the way non knife people perceive it. The legal limit here is 4" and I think that is good enough for folders. It just seems since most "mega folders" aren't spring assisted and are rather large I don't find them to as quick and useful. Though I'm sure someone could prove me wrong rather easily.

Nope, I used to carry a Cold Steel Recon 1 tanto and it was a little too big to me. I now carry and Endura and think the size is about perfect.

if you want a semi-mega folder that is thin, try a cold steel pocket bushman. For the size of the blade, it has a surprisingly thing profile. I don't have a ruler on me but from eyeballing it, it seems to be 5mm. 5mm width darry on a 4 1/2 inch bladed knife... for $20. Sure it's not the best materials, but it's a beater that I wouldn't be in despair over for losing/breaking

yeah, lil puny :D Pics are not mine, they are from Picksmith and grindermcgee, posted on the CS forums. 2nd pic is with a Fusion Battle Mistress, according to the thread.

Bigger is not always better. I work as a Landscaper. Mainly I cut grass and do yard clean ups. My edc varies from Buck 110, Endura, Salt 1, or on the smaller side Delica, SAK Farmer, Case Texas Jack, Izula.
99% of the time the smaller knives get the job done.

You should have posted in the "Do You EDC a Mini Folder?" thread! :D

No, I do not own a mega folder.

I checked out the Emerson Super 8 once though. After checking it out I don't think I will be in the market for a super folder anytime soon. I carry enough stuff (everybody tells me I carry too much), my ZT0200 and Emerson '8 (millie on the short list) will have to suffice.
