Do you sleep with your knife?

I empty my pockets into a shallow steel dish on the night stand

Pen, watch, bit of string, torch, phone, wallet etc. and whichever folder I had on me during the day

That said, it is not entirely a convenience thing. I do like it being there. Often as not, its just a small sodbuster or a barlow or similar. So, not a defence thing at all
 
I dump my EDC onto my nightstand and whatever knife I was carrying I usually mess around with while I fall asleep. Sometimes it goes back on the nightstand, sometimes I wake up with it in bed with me, definitely would rather have a pretty girl end up there more often but oh well. :p

I do have a couple knives in my nightstand drawer and I have my Ruger SR9 in the nightstand cupboard in my homemade break away box (basically a soft plastic box that keeps kids out but in an emergency can be ripped open). I also have a baseball bat under the bed plus both our house doors have good locks on them.
 
We're not that far into our relationship yet, just some heaving petting at this point. :p

Actually, I have what is basically a small filing cabinet (Ikea Helmer) next to the bed that is my nightstand. On top is a small EDC tray where I dump the knife/watch/wallet that I carried that day, and in the drawers are my knives and knife paraphernalia. But the knives don't make it into bed, only the wife and the dogs.
 
I leave my knife clipped to a "broken in" pair of jeans on the floor. My wife has this big ass blade under her side of the bed. Don't piss her off!

Yup, sure do! I sleep in an old pair of TAD Force 10 cargo's. I also have a Fenix E01 in the front pocket and a Comtech stinger in the back pocket. I live in a rough neighborhood! :)

You ain't lying you live in a rough neighborhood! I avoid Stockton like the plague...

I sleep with a knife (USMC Kabar) next to the bed.
 
I keep my edc on my bedside table. I fondle my knives compulsively so I would be scared to have one in the bed w/ me. I am afraid I would wake up bloody!
 
I keep a 7 inch fixed blade in a leather sheath under the pillow. It's been there for years, while it could serve as a back up, its main purpose has become a pillow and neck support.
 
I sleep either with somebody else’s wife, or my two Swedish girlfriends....!!!!
I just feel like 15 again.
 
No. No knife nor gun nearby (don't own a gun). But I have a hefty fireplace poker a step away in case I feel like fantasizing about confronting a burglar or a particularly stealthy zombie. In case of real trouble, I have a cell phone near to hand.

LOL! i guess that is the smartest thing to do, call for help. But i dont keep my knife for confronting somebody. If anybody comes into my room there are 9 other marines inthe barracks with me:D Tell them to confront the enemy, im sleeping:yawn:
