Do you sleep with your knife?

Usually a sage 2 or a millie in my shorts pocket. P99 .40 cal on the nightstand condition 1.

One problem with the phone is I know from experience it takes the cops about 15-20 minutes to make it to the house. That's a long time. Just sayin'.

Yup, definitely depends on where you live. If I were in an isolated area or a less safe town or part of a town, I would have more options closer to hand. But I can walk to the police station in my suburban town in 20 minutes.

I also have to confess that I forgot I put a Camillus fixed-blade under my nightstand a few weeks ago. So I'm kind of in the knife-sleeper club too.
 
That's just naive. It doesn't matter where you live and even if you live next to a police station it doesn't necessarily change the response time. Besides, just few minutes in and out is more than enough time for an assailant to completely change your world. Forever.
 
I was inclined to call you weird.

But I feel pretty secure at night with a 1911 on the night table by the bed.

So I guess you're OK.
 
Really glad it isn't just me...have had knife and large maglight under bed since High School.

Currently Bark River STS-8 within reach for me.
 
I do not purposefully puy a knife near the bed.
However, I have so bloody many knives that it's hard to reach an arm out without grabbing one.:D
(if anyone wants to buy me a large toolbox for storage, that'd be cool;))

I make my girlfriend sleep on the couch and sleep with my GB axe. A man needs priorities. I can't use my girlfriend to cut down a tree and make a fire. :p JK. It is by my bed tho, mainly because I have no room for it anywhere else. I tend to saw wood when I sleep, not chop.

I usually clip at least three Spydercos and a Benchmade to my underwear before I go to sleep.
 
I keep all my kitchen knives under my pillow, a Remington 11-87 under the wife's pillow, two Glocks and a Ruger LCP, each in ankle holsters (guess what leg the LCP fits on), and when things get really really bad during the hot summer nights I slip a bazooka down my wife's sweatpants (This IS a family read thread!!!:eek::D).

With all that crap how could anyone sleep at night?????

Oh yeah, I forgot the Sebenza, the Strider, the Emerson, the Kabar, the Kershaw.........................
 
I keep most of my knives in the drawer of my sidetable next to my bed, I also have knives scattered throughout my room/house. I sometimes sleep with a knife in my pants pocket, but it has to be something small and thing so I don't notice it when I'm trying to sleep
 
Ruger Redhawk .44 Magnum on nightstand, Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun beside bed, other firearms & edged backup weapons strategically placed throughout house.
