I always have a knife---that's something that was instilled to me at a young age. My dad always told me: "Buddy, you never walk around without three things---your pocket knife, your money clip, and your hanky."
When I was young, I carried your standard small SAK, my faux sterling silver money clip, and a bandanna.
Now I carry whatever might behoove me---a BM RSK Mk1, Military, Sebenza, etc.---a wonderful silver money clip that was my great grandpa's with his name engraved in it (the last four generations, including me, have shared the same name), and what my grandpa calls "gentleman's hankies," your standard cotton fair.
This goes for outside the house as well as in.
