Does anyone carry a knife around the house

A Benchmade or Spyderco clipped iwb of whatever I'm wearing. On weekends, a Busse Active Duty in sheath on the belt also. Bed side table with some fixed blades, folders, a beautiful expandable steel baton and flashlight. BTW, before Bladeforums, I thought I was alone in the world, now I'm surrounded by other knife nuts.:D:thumbup:
 
unless I'm asleep, of course! around the house is probably where my knives get used the most.

I don't keep one on my headboard above my bed, though, or in the PJ's when I'm sleeping. Not much use for a knife when you're asleep.

But yeah, if i have pants on, there is a knife in them. Pretty simple question.

Also, i don't just have knives laying around everywhere - I keep the ones i'm not using in my case!
 
I have a Boker Subcom in my pocket now...absolutely nothing fancy, just something that inexpensive, unobtrusive, and doesn't mind getting used for a day relaxing around the home. If I wasn't planning on napping and posting, I'd probably have something a little more exciting. :D
 
I always have a knife in my pocket and another in hand opening/closing and looking for things to cut. Anything from Emersons to Sebbys to Microtechs. I'd feel naked without at least one.
 
This cracks me up, I thought "I" was nuts. I carry a fixed on my belt, a folder clippped in my left pocket and a leatherman skeletool clipped in my right. And my waved endura clipped in my pj's all night. It sure is good to know I not alone.
 
one of the main criteria for buying new knife is how much pleasure I get knifesturbating with it :cool:
 
Like most others on here: folder in right pocket, Nitecore D10 in left pocket... various knives/lights scattered in bags, cars, drawers, etc. My PJ's are workout pants with pockets, so I even carry on the weekends and at night right up until bedtime.
 
If I'm not wearing my jeans & I'm in my sweats,I'll always have a SAK,or a slipjoint in my pocket.
 
If I am up and dressed, there is almost always a SAK on my belt, and a folder clipped in my front pocket.
 
I usualy have one in my pockets because I'm usually getting ready for work or just on my off days anyways I usually have one on me all the time unless in the shower or in bed.
 
Hell, I sleep with a knife sometimes. Also a Fenix E01 flashlight, which I wear around my neck. Sometimes the cat wakes me up and I pour some crunchies in a bowl and he eats it right there while I snooze. Then he wants out and I get up and use the light to let him out and to check the temperature, which my wife's constantly turning down. The little knife I sleep with is just to open things in case I get up and need to get something to eat (I have to because of some meds I take, which I sometimes also open with the knife.) It's a little 3-inch CS Voyager.

Anyone else sleep with a knife?
 
in response to the poster who posted earlier about being in surgery and not having one. the surgeon would surely have a scalpel so you aren't really without a knife at that point.
 
Most of the time I have my Spyderco Dragonfly on my person if I'm just around the house. However, I have my nicer folders like my Benchmade 960 or Spyderco Caly3 sitting out on my desk next to my other EDC items to be used when the need arises.
