Does anyone EDC a "collectable" Spyderco?

I've been carrying my G-10 Police (SE/flat ground), lately.
That's in addition to my usual EDC of Native and Centofante 3 and Buck Odyssey 182.

I've recently started collecting Spyders after getting my first Delica... quality of each knife is amazing. I carry and use every knife i own or plan to own...
My work EDC is an older PE military
Hanging out is either mini manix or endura
and anything else is the delica.
Have a g-10 cara cara and raven on the way... have absolutely no idea where i'm going to fit them in...

I bought a numbered Ti ATR PE a couple months back. Never carried it, just took it out of the box a couple times to look at it. Liked it so much it's a always been a vault queen, and I bought a non numbered Ti ATR PE the very next day which I EDC.
That numbered Ti ATR PE will be up for sale as soon as I take some pics.

I don't know if it's "collectable" but I wear a Persian every day.
I know this is an older comment, but I will say I'm right there with you when I carry my Persian on multiple occasions. I don't know if its collectable, but Its been discontinued for almost a year, if I'm not mistaken, so I dare say it'll fall into the "collectible" one day.
I also carry a 75mm persian and a chinook II on other days.

For the past month, have been EDCing and using the ZDP/CF Caly 3 in the photo below. It was a very special gift from Sal, and I treasure it, but it's also "too damn nice NOT to use". According to him, there is only one other exactly like it, and that one is slated to go in the Spyderco museum. The regular production version of the ZDP/CF Caly 3 will have the Boye dent, so I'd guess mine qualifies as "collectable". :D

Interesting discussion!

I'm waiting to receive a MOP and Abalone Kiwi, I would want to use it for EDC, but I still don't know if I will find the courage... :o
Does anyone use this knife? Is MOP very delicate?

I own a bunch of Kiwis including the new MOP & Abalone and several others in different types of pearl and in abalone. I carry them all. I treat them with respect, but don't really "baby" them. I would not carry one of them in the same pocket with change, or anything else metal and they would probably chip or crack if dropped.

I EDC the Dodo(is it collectable yet), a burgundy Caly Jr., and I sometimes pull out the PE CF Harpy.

I have no regrets about carrying any of my spydies, I buy them to enjoy them!

I used to EDC a large Dyad commercial fishing. I got it NIB for about sixty bucks and carried it daily for a year. I've used it while fiberglassing the bottom of a skiff to scrape dried epoxy, cut strips of fiberglass cloth, cut 150 grit sheets of sandpaper that were to damp to tear evenly, I've cut bait with it, rope, pried (the tip on the PE blade is very fragile, thankfully ats-55 isn't as brittle as some other steels) sawn a notch into an inch and a half dowel to replace the hook on a gaff, sawn through epoxy coated wrappings of twine while doing the same, among other tough cutting chores. I retired it about a year later. Right after I got mine, the price skyrocketed.

I carry and use a CC numbered SS PE Endura 4. Some may or may not consider it worth more years to come, but it is unique and identifiable. I kinda figure it as kinda cool and then move on to cut something else.

I personally don't believe in "collectible" knives. I understand your point, But truly great knives deserve to be...well....KNIVES.
I carry a CF Millie. I have a few sprint runs in my EDC rotation. And some "rare" BMs that get carried AND used.

It's kind of like buying a Corvette and then.....not driving it!
