Does anyone share my appreciation for Strider Knives, or just Frame Locks?

You don't like the spydercos milis? hmm iv'e never had a problem
As to the broader question about frame locks, one of my three Spyderco Military's is titanium with the Reeve Integrated Lock and steel insert. It locks up just fine but no better than my standard Milis which are much lighter. Thus you gain "coolness" but lose the benefits of the light weight. When I get around to selling a bunch of my tactical style knives the Ti Mili will be the first to go.

The Military is my favorite modern knife. I just don't need three of them. For my purposes keeping one of the G10 versions makes the most sense since one of the main reasons I like them is the big blade/light weight. I just haven't decided whether to keep the orange with standard S30V or the Brown with the alphabet Carpenter steel.

Love my SnG
SMF is next on the list, may be a while funds permitting but that's fine.

i think im just going to get myself a strider fixed blade, maybe something new all i have is folders

Fixed blade is the way to go for heavy use. I've used my Becker Magnum Camp, Kabar Warthog and Cold Steel GI Tanto for any and every thing you could imagine. If I lose or damage one of them it's less than a C-note to replace.

I guess I just don't understand why "Strider-haters" have to screw up every darned thread. Perhaps, they should go talk to Mick directly.

Reminds me of that atheist group who legally put up the big digital billboard on Broadway in NYC..."Who needs Christ in Christmas?....NOBODY."
There is no joy in reading something like that on Times Square...beating your drum CONSTANTLY will wear it out....

Mods: This is not hate mail; this is not racial or religious or political. :) I get confused by the rules occasionally...

Hmmm. I never would have made that Strider/Christ connection. Guess I'll go sing some Strider carols while dancing around my Strider tree.

Many of the knives are homely, and not at all a good value. The customer service varies, here is one instance:
That means a lot coming from you.....oh thats right...your no one.
Lick my sack loser!

Then there were/are the legions of apologists razzing people for expecting some degree of quality control in a knife costing $400+ "it is made to be used, not to be pretty" "just send it in they will make it right"

That is all aside from the fact that they built their business by being unrepentant liars and frauds.

Uh-oh. Old Saint Mick will bring you nothing but coal after that remark! How dare you bespoil this lovely thread of joy and praise with negative reality? :D

Oh well, my knives turned out to be good specimens.
I guess I just have good luck with knives...I was bound to have good luck in some part of life. :D

Today, my Tan G10, Satin Tanto SnG will be delivered. I waited a long time for this one.

Funny thing is, the "haters" post about the same way Mick does when typing out of frustration. Hypocrisy is a beautiful thing. You can copy and paste any quote out of context. Proves nothing but basic computer skills. End of the day if they were poorly built knives that didn't perform then they wouldn't sell and there would be no Strider Knives Inc. The whole "secret squirrel hype" is so out of date that I'm willing to bet the majority of new Strider owners aren't even aware of it. So you can't pin success on that either.

A good knife is a good knife. Deal with it. Too many options out there to get all hot and bothered over something that has no effect on your day to day. Unless your just the type that has to be upset about something:)

Lycosa, enjoy that tanto brother:thumbup:

Certain people here never miss a chance to do whatever trolling they think they can get by with.

How is dissemination of the truth a form of trolling?

If it's trolling it's only because there's no limit on sucker fish. That much has been proven.

Like I said certain people here just come here to stir up all they can, in any way they can.

Seems so, if we don't agree about what some here do we are whatever they say we are, according to them.
