Dogs and traditional knives

That was good of you. I wouldn't have a dog if I worked full time.
My 20 yr old keeps telling me she wants a couple when she moves out. Luckily I don't think that wil happen.
Buddy is going on 14, slowing down only a couple of big walks in him in a week. The youngest has been spending more time with him. I asked her to have a look for a new coat for him at work( works In a kmart style store).
Well no coat but a nice new bed, so he can sleep in her room😲 so buddy follows me around all day till Lilly gets home and he ditches me.

Looks like such a cozy nice place to nap for the day. :)

We were out of town most of the past couple of weeks and our little dog Gandalf had to be boarded at a kennel. People who worked at the kennel sent my wife brief updates every other day on how Gandalf was doing, usually involving a photo or two. Someone there must have been a fan of Photoshop or something like it, because one day we received the following photo (except the Case Swayback Jack was not included; I pasted that in just now 🤓 ).

It is actually the other way around. The Golden is young and puppy like. Doug the Pug is old and deaf and has cataracts. She loves to play rough and Doug is not always in the mood. They get along well though. I think she keeps him active and young.
Doug the pug, gotta love it.i think your right about keeping him young if not a little bit beat up.i was always a believer that a dog likes a companion though not as much as my sisters who have 3 and 4 at a time.but my buddy in my picture is a 7 year old cane corso rescue from an outdoor -30 tethered to a 3 foot chain family of dogs used for security,a sad state to say the least to see huge logging chain completely frozen to the chest leaving the flesh open, fortunately we got him as a pup before following in his parents foot steps. At the time we got Lil buddy we had a 2 year old female half wolf half Doberman rescued from outside a remote northern reserve, the first few years she put a playfull but most times a brutal beating on roman, but still Roman looked up to her and though being the younger smaller of the 2 he became her protector, every walk in the bush started the same way with dobiewolf attacking Roman relentlessly for the first ten minutes with him paying little attention to it and wanting to hang by me,after ten minutes he would grab her by the side of her head and take her to the ground and hold for 5 seconds and release letting our 34" at shouders dobiwolf know it was over and to buzz off,he just preferred me and the wife he wouldn't let her near us without getting in-between,he just didn't like sharing us or getting involved with her continuous play fighting, but the dobiwolf was never close to a people pleaser in fact it stayed away and was very aloof to all people,so when at 5 years old we had to let her go because she couldn't walk off leash(long story)and I'm not a leash walker in fact Roman doesn't have a collar, but after she went to live at a pet store of all Places which was perfect because she never bothered the clientele being as I said aloof to all people, but the day she left Roman was as happy as can be and didn't miss his companion of 4 years,he just wanted to be the lone dog which was hard for me to understand.
