Don't Need No Bolsters!!!

I have always loved the shadow pattern knives, so nice nd light weight and clean looking. But...if ther4 is to be emo bolsters, then I much prefer the type of "birds head set up like the Case sodbuster with a washer under the pin that is peened over it. The sodbusters, like the old war horse the British army knife, have a great record of standing up to heavy use and even some abuse.

Boltsers? We don't need no steenking bolsters!😀

I like the look of a Bird's Eye pivot too Carl :) I've seen them using nails for the pins in Sheffield :eek: :thumbsup:

Perfect examples of hard working knives by design, and they didn't feel the need for bolsters.

Some years ago I bought a Victorinox florist knife as a rough duty knock around knife that I didn't care if it got damaged. Nylon scales, nice chisel ground sheep foot blade. I've beat the ever lovin' dog poo out of that knife and it's till good to go. No wobble, no slop, just as good as it came out of the box.
