Don't Regret the Snark

I just heard the snowplow go by....had to get my work truck off the street today, but the damned battery was dead from sitting for 5 weeks - nothing plugged in, what the hell kills the battery? Ford Transit is the worst vehicle my company ever bought. I like Ford, and maybe the Transit would be Good for some trades, but with the roof overloaded with ladders and too much crap in the cargo area, that thing goes down the road like a boat that won't plane out. The front is so high people always flash their high beams at me, even though I'm driving with low beams on, and there's so little weight on the front wheels that they spin even on dry pavement if you step on the gas a little hard. POS.

Maybe you could bolt some weights to the front bumper like we do on tractors to hold the front end down? Granted, tractors come with a mounting bar for just that purpose (to hold weights to keep the front end down when plowing).

just got home from seeing the second Hobbit movie--the desolation of Smaug. It was pretty stinkin awesome

I have been carrying a Leatherman Rebar since July, in pocket. I cant stand having things on my belt, I'm always bumping in to stuff.

It also came with a Micra. Pretty handy little thing, but not handy enough to replace my Vic classic on my keys.

Kind of a burly day here. We got hammered with a winter storm that hit most of southern Ontario. Tons of drifting snow and limited visibility. Everything, including walking the dogs took longer than expected. Finally finished packing and going to head out for Chattanooga tomorrow morning

Morning folks. Finally stopped snowing here. Enjoying a cup of coffee and reading the paper.

What's everyone up to?

It's front-wheel drive? That's all I need to hear to convince me not to buy one. Not that I was gonna.
Yeah, how stupid an idea is that? it's basically a Focus with a micro/euro van body. There's been a big redesign for the 2014 model, but it'll still be a rolling crapfest, if you ask me. My company is going to stick with 'em though, as they had a LOT of input on the new design. Unfortunately, the fleet managers and bean counters don't have to drive them and install out of them, so they really haven't a clue. Oh....IMO. I forgot - I'm a peon and know next to nothing about fleet management.

Coffee here
No coffee for me for about 6 weeks now.....I haven't missed it too much, but that's probably because I'm the only person in the house that drank it, so I don't have to smell it every morning. Beer, on the other hand, I miss a LOT. Even though I wouldn't be drinkin' one at this hour in the am. We had a nice little storm last night, too. I'm trying not to be too bummed about missing all the neighborhood Christmas bashes...missed the annual smorgasbord at our Swedish friends' yesterday - gravlax, meatballs, glögg....it's always packed with holiday cheer. Have a safe trip to Chattanooga, Gus.

Thinking about going to bed here. I've been watching westerns and browsing the net since I got home from work 5 hours ago.

Answered some emails and listened to a couple of AIG's podcasts. Trying to get motivated to do something productive...

Found my CS TrailHawk this morning in the coat closet. Been looking for that thing. Gonna go find a stump later I think...Not even light out here yet.

Yeah I like the FPR better but I think its just the looks and feel. The FFG does cut better.
