My favorite all time blade. Bad news. I have 2 mini's paired with aftermarket scales. I hope there is something else 'Ritter' in the works. Wonderful blades you produce. I recently sold my full size. Wish I had it back now.

My only BM now as I consider it a high quality knife (I have pared down my collection to the best of the best): RIP

Too bad. First they discontinued the HK Axis and now these. Full size Ritter Grip was the last Benchmade in my price range that I like(d).

Now that BM is doing away with these I guess I don't have a reason to look at them any longer. This was the best they made imo. Back to the Spyderco catalog I go for my next knife purchase.

Just picked up two, one a mini, both in orange as soon as I found out. By far my favorite BM folder, curious what's going on over there in Oregon City?

Too bad - these are great designs. I'm glad I saw this before I sold my large one.

It's probably due to H&K and Ritter knives made by Benchmade competing with regular Benchmade knives but at a lower price.

However, Benchmade has other problems. Their quality has been inconsistent the past few years and price-wise they're not competitive.

Compare the Benchmade 940-2 with S30V & G-10 for $170 against the Spyderco ParaMilitary2 with S30V & G-10 for $123! Both are made in the U.S.

I agree 100%

Hit the nail on the head.

Well said, and I agree completely. And I do own several Benchmades that I love to carry and use.

A yellow mini ritter grip was my second quality knife. After a plain mini grip. RIP to a great design.

Buy or not buy? I am struggling. On one hand, the Ritter Grip M390 has been on my radar for a while and if BM does not release an upgraded model of it (g-10 or cf scale, e.g.), I should definitely buy it now. On the other hand, I do much prefer a g-10 or cf or even aluminum scale and if BM does release such a model and price around $170-$180 (full size), I'd wait for it.

...How about the 550-1?

Going to pick up another mini-ritter for sure.
Oddly enough, I have been waiting for the mk3 to follow the mk1 and be made in m390. Guess that will never happen:(
