Doug Ritter RSK MKII - SHIPPED !! - was:Don't Spend All Your Holiday Cash Just Yet...

As chief BK10 whiner, I have to say that this is the closest yet! Very nice work, Critter, as usual....

Man I've been wanting one of those FOREVER! Very nice Doug, I can't wait.

I keep asking myself that same question.

Stubbornness will MOST TIMES win out.

Fixed that for you Doug!

I am thrilled you have succeeded with the design, I am confident it will be a winner. Congratulations!

Cool! Definitely getting in on this one. Even though the ESEE studee from Rowen is quality, I'm disappointed this model didn't come from KaBar. Either way I'm getting one though.

well, originally it was coming from Camillus, but they crashed, and well, offshoots happen. hybrid vigor :>

You shouldn't be disappointed, Rowen makes some great knives. So does Kabar. Either one would be cool in my book, I own Rowen made ESEE's and they are top notch cutters. Good design, great manufacturer, what's not to love. OH, and it does have Becker in the name, YEAH!! Rock on!!!

From the experiences I've had with ESEE and Rowen, I'm pretty happy that Shon will be involved in this one. Even though the price point is higher than the usual Beckers, I didn't hesitate in pre ordering this knife. With Becker, Ritter and Rowen names on it, it's a win win win!

That is a nice looking knife by a good company,Rowen. I understand it is a limited run so that affects the price, but is it worth the price of 2 BK7's. I think I will save my money for the forum knife and some other models I'm looking at. Everyone that buys one please post pics for the rest of us.

In my rabid haste to order one, I didn't notice when they were going to be ready to ship. Is that info listed where I may have missed it, or is it not announced yet? Either way, it's worth the 8 year wait IMO

I'm figuring on this being like ordering a Randall... from Randall. That way, if the knife shows up anytime before the 62 month window, I get a nice surprise. :D

according to Knifeworks they're supposed to ship before the end of December.

Thanks for finding that  I hope it works out that way, I was hoping for a nice little Christmas present for myself :)

according to the page, the knife has slipped to LATE January... only the crickets know why...

2 months, already paid? mmm

Im still on the fence with this one. On one side its the Becker ive always dreamed of...thinner than the BK2, a slightly longer blade wih a more pronounced point. Just perfect. But im wondering where the balance will lay with the brass plugs removed...itll probably be real bladeheavy.

But at 120 it faces stiff competition from other excellent brands. And the sheath it comes with isnt doing anything to bring me over. Quite the opposite actually.

Im going to have to chew on this one for a while...

Knifeworks charges 34USD for international shipping, and thats not even FedEx, DHL or UPS, just regular snail-mail. That means we're up at 154USD for the Ritter. Now add another 40% for VAT, fees and duties and im looking at a total cost of about 215USD.

Unfortunately alot more than my finances can handle at the moment.
