Dwaine Carrillo, Airkat Knives

Whats disturbing in these situations is that these makers seem to still be supplying internet dealers. I would never pay for a knife up front and I think its unreasonable to ask for a full payment to get on a guys books. A downpayment of a reasonable percentage sure but asking for full payment? Im a small contractor and dont get paid in full until the job is finished.

Maybe try containing that vendor and asking for a contact point for this guy, and explain that you have been waiting for years for your knife (which you already paid for) which looks suspiciously like one they just posted up for sale? I'd have zero issues making the claim that piece of work sent your knife off to be sold by someone else.
 
Ive seen this more than once. His whole website is a list of excuses and apologies. If he was truly dedicated to finishing these knives he would of found a way. Unfortunately there are more of him popping up due to the knife markets explosion over the last few years. Only thing we can do is out him on the forums.
 
I ordered my Scout well over two years ago. Was required to pay in full in advance. I was told it would be done in 6 weeks. That was over two years ago. Knives continue to go to dealers, but as of two months ago I was notified by a gal named Raquel who replied to my last request for an update that Dwaine was extremely ill. Not sure if it is cancer or something life threatening, and prayers to him if that is the case. I was refused a refund, and have no idea when or if I will ever see this knife. I continue to email for updates and check the website, but nothing.
 
I ordered mine approx 3 years ago. Have shared a number of emails with Mr C. From what I can surmise his finacial strategy has been simply,"robbing Peter to pay Paul". I have been met with a litany of excuses. I also had requested my money back at the beginning of the year. He simply told me he did not have the money to send. A polite way of saying, "forget it". He had also related to me a myriad of health issues up too and including certain types of incurable conditions. But I was assured he was seeking the best "miracle cures". He then related had cured his incurable conditions with Vitamin C and bicarbonate soda into tumors only to be plagued by new strange conditions. His health related issues could be legitimate and he has been self delusional about how to approach it. Regardless, I myself am under the realistic assumption that I will never get the knife or my money back. His website is down...again. And at least when I do a search I'm no longer even getting hits for his site on GOOGLE. The first and only time I will ever send money up front. Very expensive lesson.

The fairest way to shut down scams like this is only to buy from dealers.

That way he can sell every knife he makes once he makes it and the customer gets the knife he wants without the lying and waiting and bitterness.
 
I too am waiting on a paid in full order that i was told would be completed within 16 weeks.
Been over 2.5 years now.
I still keep seeing my model knife come up new from maker on azck
I Know Dwaine is solid But this is really irritating.
Poor Buisness practice to say the least too keep peeps backorders for that Long.

Buying from dealers put $$ in his pocket but does nothing for his victims.

Spreading the word about what a big crook he is and prosecuting him for his crimes would hurt him.
 
Start calling his local police department, they eventually started investigating in the SKetchen thread.

To ALL of you waiting.. I've been waiting now exactly 5 years! I paid in full for 3 knives, got 1 so far!
This is the latest email I got from Mr. Carrillo, and I trust him! pls share this in other forums.

Stephan I apologize for not answering this sooner, I’ve been in an emergency clinic. Buddy, I’m not doing real good right now and I’m literally fighting for my life. I can barely get in a good hours’ worth of work till I beat this disease. I’ve had to force myself to build a few knives in between clinic stays just to pay my way and bills as I go because I don’t have medical insurance. I think I told you I had pancreatic/colon cancer but I beat it. Once that was over with, because my immune system had been compromised, I got hit with another disease called Dermatomyositis (YouTube it) that I believe was caused by military vaccines from an experiment the Dept. of the Army ran back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Look up “Weaponized Mycoplasmas” on YouTube. Mycoplasmas is what causes this disease. Fortunately I know how to beat it with Colloidal Silver, DMSO, Olive Leaf Extracts Oleuropein, etc. I’m having to rub 12 to 16 oz. of Magnesium Oil all over my body every day to drive the calcium out of my lungs, heart, and soft tissues to keep it from turning me to stone, literally. I cannot get a deep breath; I’m fighting extreme dizziness, heart and lung problems, a viscous rash all over my body and my legs feel like I’m dragging them through 4 ft. of mud with every step. It is a life threatening disease, but I do know how to beat, it’s just going to take me a few months’ worth of fighting it. I’m doing hyperbaric oxygen tank treatment along with Vitamin C infusions as well.



I’ve added a few photos of the rash for you to see. I have that rash all over my entire body; it is very painful and hard to deal with on a daily basis. It’s doing the same thing to my muscles and soft tissues like the heart and lungs. Feel free to share this email and photos with anyone else out there on the forums who’s wondering what’s currently going on with me who is waiting on their knife. I’m not putting you guys off, I’m literally fighting for my life here. I cannot pay you back right now because I’m struggling financially and can barely work. You’re going to have to bear with me a bit longer buddy. I have your knives partially done, and I will finish them as soon as I’m physically able. I have never ripped anyone off in 20 years of making knives and I won’t start now. I’m in trouble, and if I don’t beat this disease no one is going to get their knives because I’m going to be dead, literally.



If I don’t answer you for a few days it’s because I’m not here. I have to go to the ER and emergency clinics about twice a week for nitro tabs or any host of other things to keep my lungs and heart working till I kill off this Mycoplasma infection. Bear with me Amigo, I have not forgotten about you, I promise.
