Looks like earl is having a wonderful time, Meako!! The coast and cannon shots are very cool. Earl is living well:D:thumbup::thumbup:

Great stuff Meako buddy - Oh man I needed a good laugh - the Anti Kiwi Cannon did that for me - Bloody Aussies - Thank goodness for the size of the ditch in-between us otherwise they would be like ants just everywhere

Matey..what are those Bones on the plate? interesting.
Great to see Earl getting out and about.

Thanks everyone. You guys are always welcome at stately Meako manor-thats if ya think ya can hack the pace:p
Weather has been deplorable lately-drizzle-rain-more drizzle-precipitation-biblical downpours-back to drizzle kind of thing. Not the best for getting out and doing the touristy stuff I had planned . Still it won't last forever. I want to get up to the summit of MT Keira for some pics yet.
The bones are the skull of that python I skinned a while back -the tale of its sad demise is posted there . Amazing how fragile the skull is when you see the force with which even a smallish python like this one will put into the attack. The trick is to get the bones into a dilute bleach solution before they all fall apart. I've got a road kill kookaburra skull being processed at the moment.
Anyhow me n EARL hung out in the man cave last night listening to my old LPs.
top secret squirrel man cave pics.

I'm actually beginning to think that Kiwis aren't all that bad. Today is St Florians day and they gave me a medal-the Overseas Humanitarian Service Medal.
I took the family along to Penrith panthers Leagues club for the ceremony. A proud moment for us New South Welshmen.

Congratulations meako!
I'm glad your American friend was able to join you at this high point in your life!!!

Dave

Nice going meako. What are the other medals for?
More importantly, Earl didn't get any sort of recognition? No medals? What's up with that? :D

Excellent! Meako! Congratulations!

As the Americanism goes, "You clean up good." Very proper looking.

Congratulations, Meako! Very cool!

Meako, congratulations on the Overseas Humanitarian Service Medal. Earl was lucky to be there and a visit to your top secret squirrel man cave. I found out a kookaburra is a species of kingfisher. Great stuff!

Thank you.
The other gongs are for turning up to work ,being in the union, and being an employee of the government-for close to 30 years:eek:
Yes the Kookaburra is the largest of the kingfishers and prefers lizards and snakes to fish. Their "laughter" is actually a raucous warning to other Kookas to stay off our turf and out of our airspace.
Anyhow this is the first nice day we've had for a while that I can get out side. I'm gonna hop on me MTB and go up the summit for some tourist shots.
