Earl Sees the World!

Hahahahahaha! You've got that crazed look in your eye there, Duncan! Earl has that effect on people. Driving men mad, and women wild!

Careful Meako! Earl is a hard stallion to break! Taming him might come more difficult than you imagine. Beware of his sneaky tricks! He will befriend you, and win your trust, only to stab you in the back and take your woman! Be weary, man, be weary!

That sounds like a plan Duncan.
Meanwhile please enjoy a short musical interlude I call "Earls southern sojourn"

I can hear the pleading screams "No! Not that! NAART THE LINISHER."
Seems you may have softened him up a bit.:)No worries,I'll be waiting.
Here's a pic of an old car I used to drive.

It's a knife forum. The lounge is for non-knife posting.

I'm a little late but thanks for the photos of Pukekohe and the great time Sue and you showed Earl. I have always wanted to visit NZ, what a beautiful place and for sure it is on my bucket list. You took quite a risk bringing Earl into your home, you were a brave host. :D

I received a package to today from our good mate Duncan (Campbellclanman).
Not only did it contain the EJ that I recently had the great fortune to win in that massive giveaway but also EARL.
So the great antipodean leg of EARL's journey begins.
First I organised a brief "welcome to country" and gave honour to the nation of New Zealand in a flag raising ceremony. Unfortunately things got a bit confused because their flagis pretty much a ripoff of ours and no one could tell the difference. That led to an embarrassing international faux pas. At one point the flag being raised was lowered accidentally and then the other flag got raised to half mast and then... ahh what the heck? I don't think anyone noticed.

EARL checking out some Wollongong tourist spots-Flagstaff Point with Mt Kembla and Mt Keira in background-such a horrible grey day due to east coast low pressure system.

The steelworks always looks good on a rainy day .Bluescope Port Kembla.

One of my favourite spots in the Gong-the anti New Zealand cannon emplacements-these were put in circa 1880 to stem the tide of kiwis flooding over here. They failed dismally. Firing directly east they miss New Zealand by several miles. The irony is that when fired the guns merely attract the kiwis paddling in their chilli bins out at sea and draw them closer to the coast .:p
