Earl Sees the World!

Duncan, thank you so much for your informative report on EARL's visit!:thumbup:

I certainly understand the delay in filing an update, since I've been incredibly busy myself since the beginning of February and am unable to do all the knife-related stuff I'd like to do (and ought to do). :(

I found the historical parts of your post very educational, since I know so little about your side of the world. But I was dismayed to learn that, even on the other side of the International Date Line, EARL is up to the same shenanigans!:eek::mad: As I read what you wrote about the wedding that you so graciously allowed EARL to attend with you, I suddenly had flashbacks to an old movie called "The Graduate" at the end of which a very young Dustin Hoffman causes a bride to run off with him and leave her groom at the altar. I certainly hope the wedding you described didn't end this way, with EARL playing the Hoffman role! It seems that wherever he goes, EARL has trouble keeping his blades between his liners! But maybe in this case, it's not entirely EARL's fault? Bullet holes in churches, brides in low-cut dresses with garters, volcanoes, Aussies with lots of sheep; it just seems to me that perhaps blood runs rather hot in the Southern Hemisphere!

EARL really is a wild child! Great update and pictures. Sounds like he's having a great time over there.

Ok, that was flat out a fun read...a word to EARL Duncan...I'm a bit offended as I'm looking forward to doing the flirting with Sue when you come to visit:D;)

Looks like you all had a great time...yes EARL also:eek:

Lol Paul matey I am sure Sue has saved a bit of room in her heart for you my friend!! :D

Earl is going to have some stories to tell no doubt...(and maybe some to keep to himself)

Glen mate- I am thinking earl had better keep things to himself - That Linisher in my garage is juust awaitin' on some action - Eral knows it too!;)

Haha ...Oh man..GT you gave me a great laugh there - "keeping his blades between his Liners"... that is just great my friend :thumbup::D

Ha - now Earl is attending WEDDINGS ??!! What is next for Earl  - quite the ladies man, we already knew !! ;):D

I bet he is thinking Mr. & Mrs. Schrade.;):D

Sue has that look in her eye Duncan and she is a beauty. Keep a close eye on that Earl. He may be telling your gal about his worldly travels and how he can take her along ! ;)

Would not want good ole Duncan crying on his soup bones after Earl makes a fast get away. :o:o:o;):D

"Earl has trouble keeping his blades between his liners" is fabulous GT.:thumbup::D:D:D:D

Jake - Earl is that indeed, and we MUST catch up with the un-named Traditional member who unleashed Earl upon us all - there must be some form of retribution.

Lol Primble Sir- Oh yes...i would be crying if I lost my Sue - she is such a magnificent lady - but this Earl fella is a-changin' her ways.
Dark days ahead for either Earl or me.........

Don't go blamin' this on me! I TOLD you Earl was an old dawg! Why do you think I sent him off so quickly?! I saw the looks the wife was giving him, and out the door he went!

GT, I about died when I read that "blades between his liners" line. Too freakin' funny! I am definitely going to be using that one forever! Shoot, I'll be lookin' for excuses to use that line! Well done! I don't think I have laughed as hard at any other quote on BF before!

LOL! :D A great read Duncan, and some smashing pics my friend :)

Duncan, you had me falling out of my chair laughing!! What are we going to do with that old dawg Earl! Shame shame shame....maybe I need some lessons from him. The ladies were looking radiant!!!! Wow!

Great report Duncan! It's good to see Earl's doing well, I thought he might have picked up a case of scurvy on the open sea during his journey to your beautiful country! Maybe he did, that could explain the down time, a recovery period maybe?
Hopefully the heat Earl generates wherever he goes won't have any affect on those volcanoes!
Old Earl must be a smart barlow, throughout these travels he hasn't opened his mouth once to defend himself against these accusations of lecherous behavior. No sense taking a chance incriminating one's self I suppose.
Here's wishing Earl smooth sailing on the next leg of his journey......And hoping he keeps his blades where they belong!:)

:eek: Sounds like a question of honor! For my money, you're the man who's been wronged, Duncan!

Thanks, guys. I'm probably guilty more often than most of violating forum rules and not keeping the focus on knives. :(
So in this case, I was just trying to make sure I had some actual knife content in my post!
Use the line at your own risk, Evan; I take NO responsibility! :p

Lol, well done my friend! I knew you were planning something special but had no idea you were this creative, Duncan! EARL was well taken care of indeed!

Just don't use the line here. We let it go for this thread only.

I'll bet Earl will not comply though. Something tells me he'll slip out under the wire under the cover of darkness and seek out the nearest tavern where some fine young Sheila's can be found. :D

lol - Excellent stuff my friend, I must admit to you I had delayed the sending of your Win because I wanted to do another photo tour of Earl in Auckland City - but thought I had better send him along with some classy company - thus being your well deserved win of the Eric's Jack!!!

Gev my good friend - I didnt get you in my multi quote - Well it looks as though Earl is in trouble now - on his way to be hosted by Meako...I almost kinda feel sorry for the ol' Jack - but NAH!

This is becoming a worry- I just closed my eyes...... I drifted off to sleep here on the couch.....

suddenly I was dreaming I was in my Garage - it was dark....... it was strange I was in my Basement - but there were no other houses around....

I had Earl Hahahaha.... he was screaming.... I told him he could scream as loud as he wanted as no one was around for him to hear....go..on...scream.... SCREAM...... SCREAM HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Wild eyed, laughing insanely ... I had Earl ...I was reaching to turn the Linisher on.......

And then my Dog barked  and I woke up ,

I got up - kicked the dog for spoiling that fantastic moment and closed my eyes to savior that last scene in my dream.....
