Earl Sees the World!

@ all : Thank you for your kind comments, Earl makes me see my surroundings with a new eye!

@ 5K Qs : I must confess that in fact I am living in the parallel street.

@ Mason Knives : the sheath is a source of jealousy!

JP - County's appears to be a place where the contents of ones wallet could disappear at a rapid rate! ;):D

For sure! There is a lot of very desirable knives! I wanted an imitation tortoise shell Parapluie Fishtail but all has gone, so I just had a little chat then stepped out before any temptation! Next year I have a BMW mc gearbox and the Norton's rear brake line tochange and a scheduled rally to Italy in may...

JP, you're a great ambassador for Paris I'm really enjoying your posts, great job sir. I hope that you and Earl, and all your friends and family, had a very Happy Christmas. Lucky old Earl! :D

My girlfriend picked up a couple of knives for me from there about six months ago, a Vendetta and an Okapi. Until a few days ago I still had the bag next to my computer! :)

JP, I am thoroughly enjoying Earl's visit with you in and about Paris. Well done.
I would like to see pics of Earl with the Norton and BMW. ;)

Courty is an old house, like l'Oriental and some other, always ready for a chat because they are passionates... Let's hope it won't be the next kebab...

I'll make one with the Norton, I need to fix the rear brake, hydraulics leaking, but the BMW is down South waiting for a spare gearbox
Meanwhile I found this old argentic with my hacks (Auntie no more here, I had it when the children were young, they loved to travel in a car where they could stand upright! Safety belt ,why? And Yes Jack, she is RHD :D).
Bob this is dedicated to You.

Looks like Earl is turning in to quite the party animal in Paris.
Yessir he does! Last time we went to an official ceremony with our president of Republic and everybody wondered : who is that little man standing near Earl? :D

Really enjoying this jolipapa!!! Thanks for the excellent pictures, Earl seems to be having a really good time:thumbup:

Love the Bikes and the Rover!!

Paul

That Rover 75? P4 is a great car, especially the rare 'Cyclops' version - but for that you'd have to have a GEC squirrel etch stainless knife with the Cyclops Works tang stamp...

Excellent photos, JP! Thanks so much for showing Earl around and for sharing the experience with us!

No, not a Cyclops, with the frightening freewheel, a 95 with a 6 cylinder running so smoothly that you could really put a coin on the edge and it would not fall. In fact this is the second I had, the grey one I had first ran on only 5 cylinders. I discovered that when I drove that one whith all her 6 cylinders working! You could hear the clock when running nearly 100mph! I think I regret it!

Not this thread, but Ido love your pictures of rope knives, I am waiting for my red one to arrive (not before a certain time I'm afraid).

And Earl is a real character of it's own!

Thanks for the info JP. I had a mate who had a Rover 3 litre Coupe, those leather armchairs...bliss! Really quiet too.

Earl turning to ol Blue Eyes for inspiration then...:D.Well with all the food and drink temptations coming his way he might find himself becoming house-bound with obesity and a lot less attractive to the worlds' women :eek::D Maybe that's why his Blonde Doll picture got quickly removed.....

Yesterday the spring-like weather was inviting for a walk.
We hopped in the bus.

Fantastic JP, wonderful to see more of Paris (and what a amazing selection of wine!). Earl is a lucky dog! :D

The Opera House! All the wonderful little passage ways! Keep exploring Earl! This is wonderful.

My wife is not a knife person, but even she is following Earl. Guess I will have to be careful if he ever gets back to Florida.
Jolipapa, thank you for the beautiful photos. Interesting to see the lack of crowds in the winter, thanks to you Paris is on our itinerary now.
