EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

Typically, I have my keys, which has a photon (white) and a leatherman micra; in my front left pocket. In my right front pocket, I have a cheap aluminum AAA flashlite and a cheap 3" folder, both of which I am looking to replace.. any suggestions? Also in my right front pocket is my Wind-proof jet lighter.

I am also waiting for my bk930, which will be either on my belt or perhaps on my calf if I can find a comfortable, way to carry it there.

Knife first......

look at this model:

yes a SAK with a lighter built in........
in fact there are two models: SwissFlame and CampFlame -
QUOTE:
The "SwissFlame” No. 1.3705.FT offers a further 17 useful functions:
Large and small blades, corkscrew, tin-opener with small screwdriver (also suitable for Phillips 1–2), cap opener with 6 mm screwdriver, wire stripper, reamer, punch, key ring, tweezers, toothpick, scissors, multi-purpose hook, ballpoint pen, pin (stainless steel) and mini-screwdriver. Art. No. 1.3615.FT CampFlame – has the same functions, but with a wood saw and fine 3 mm screwdriver (instead of scissors and multi-purpose hook).

I'm not sure if these are currently imported to the USA - here's the Victorinox listing:

Now the flashlight -

If you want to stick to a single AAA - then the ArcAAA (LED flashlight) is a very popular model -

However I personally prefer my EDC of a single AA LED model the

There are 3 models with that stylized fishy logo -

And the winner is Fisherman... I've carried it for 13 years, or half my life.

A true EDC

Acquired around 1990 - so there might be a slight possibility -

would you mind please checking -

Does the reamer/punch have the sewing eye?
might be remote - but possibly does the Phillips corkscrew replacement driver have the can-key slot?

Thanks.

Didn't think your one photo would generate so much interest did you? :)

Everyday out here in Mosul I carry a Cold Steel 3 inch Voyager plain edge, a large Sebenza, a Shadow IV and a Victorinox Swisstool. I also carry a Princeton Tec II, a CMG Infinity (red lens for night vision conservation), a mini DMT(fine grit), a Bic lighter, a Fisher Space Pen and an All-Weather notebook.
Everything gets used daily and I do mean everything.
Even in garrison I carried a minimum of 2 knives as well as the pen, notebook, flashlight(the CMG Infinity), the Swisstool and a lighter.
I don't believe I have ever gone without some or all of my 'gear'.
You ask do we really need an EDC folder...I think it is our duty to carry at least one for all of the reasons given here and others not yet broached.
Not sure of your expectations from all of this but I for one have enjoyed reading the variety of responses and reasons given here.
We have a very colorful bunch here and I believe it a great honor to be counted among them.

It does have the sewing eye, and the can-key slot...

I never would have guessed people would be interested in my stuff... Then again, I'm always interested in what others carry! :)

Please tell us -
is the knife a 91mm (3 1/2") length model?
was it supplied by Swiss Army Brands?
can you please describe the box it came in?

Thanks,

As to the questions:

1.When you say length are you referring to closed length or blade length?
2. It is a V'nox division of SAB Tinker.
3. Rectangular box, silver in color, with Victorinox, Swiss Army Equipped and The Original Swiss Army Knife all on the top portion of the sleeve.

Sorry - closed length, please.

Thanks for the other information - I am guessing, since it is a Swiss Army Brands US imported Tinker, it will be a 91mm (3 1/2") Tinker (closed length)?

Thanks,

Yes, those SwissFlames and CampFlames look neat -
I don't even smoke -
and I want one:D

I notice you and others use a money clip -
ever thought of combining functions with a money-clip knife?

I have seen people use the older Spyderco Co-Pilot as a money-clip

I guess one could also do that with the Cricket too:

Thoughts?

I used to see knives in belt buckles advertized.

Does anyone have or wear one of those things?
greatsword_1740_15454285

If I recall, there was even one folding belt buckle knife that opened when removed from the buckle ready for use.
Anyone remember that?

I used to have the original KISS. It is very ingenious design, small and very pocketable. The part where the design fails is when it comes to handling the knife. The grip just isn't there:( .

At work i carry a Severtech Auto with a purple anodized handle. At leisure i carry a Syderco Endura, Al Mar all stainless Falcon or my new Kershaw Rainbow Leek, and man is it sharp!

Many thanks Frank,
Yes, I found those too after I posted and did a bit of minimal net research:
eng_eagle_head_thumb.jpg

However the belt-buckle knife that I was thinking of which opened as it was removed may have been the Gerber "Touche":

(this one with deer scrimshaw)

see also this page:

Does anyone have or even wear one of these?
and am I correct in that the knife is opened as it is removed?

Thanks
