EDC - What's in Your Pocket(s)??

I have one of the Gerber buckles, although I haven't worn it since high school (mid '80s). Mine looks like the one pictured, except the knife handle is brushed stainless steel. The handle is rotated clockwise until open, and then the knife can be removed from the buckle. I think Gerber also made a version for very narrow belts. The buckle was SS and only as wide as the knife itself. A good friend of mine wore this version.

Mine was plain black plastic with a brushed stainless knife handle. I thought it was cool as hell, although would close faster than a slip joint! Somewhere I lost the knife and finally threw away the buckle.

Thanks BOILER and jmxcpter for your information.

I like the idea of rotating the handle to both open the knife and unlatching it from the buckle. It's a shame the knife seemed to want to close - in use?

This site shows the slim Gerber Touche model:

Thanks,

over the Blade Show weekend I finally got an AG Russell Woodswalker with its clever in hip-pocket leather sheath - I've known about the Woodswalker for a long time - but never got round to getting one - even though it was under $20 including the hip pocket sheath.....

One of the reasons I picked one up was because the sheath actually fits that other knife in the photo - Kershaw Shun Classic (damascus) paring knife - regular 8" length - shown for size comparison.
Here's a link about that story: whim into Action

The Woodswalker knife itself has a handle that's not too small (unlike a lot of neck-knives) at 3 1/2" nicely shaped - full tanged pakkawood. The blade is 2 1/2" AUS8A (that's had some very favorable comments here for an inexpensive stainless steel) - so overall length is a mere 6".

The knife fits into the sheath with about 7/8" protruding -

- that makes for a low profile but easy accessibility - in other words this is a well thought out and tried and proven design -
and did I already say all for under $20?

Clever that AG Russell fella.....

This is what I had on me at work today.

You're allowed to carry a pistol at work?

I'm not, but I usually do when working the late shift. I've got to answer burglar alarms in the middle of the night in $2,000,000 homes, with no lights on, not knowing if there's anyone there are not. I usually leave it in the patrol vehicle till I do an exterior check, but if there's evidence of forced entry, yes I will carry with me when I go in.

right-front: kershaw leek, keys (keychain - nail clippers, cheap mini-lite)
left-front: space pen, leatherman micra, breathmints (hehe)
right-rear: wallet with victorinox swiss-card

Back left pocket: Wallet, Mini-Mag light
Back right pocket: PE FRN VG10 Delica (clipped)
Front left pocket: Keys w/ SAK Classic on the key chain.

I'm thinking of getting a CMG Ultra-G for a more portable carry of the Mini-Mag without loosing the brigtness power (actually I'm getting more)

The tools of my trade. A Leatherman classic and a truss rod wrench. If I can find something suitable I'll start carrying around a couple of allen wrenches. You never know when a guitar's going to break and you're the only one there to fix it. :D

Oh boy, this is going to be fun.

Work-
Leather firefighter gloves, 2" med tape, 2 pairs of penny cutter medic shears, 2 pairs latex gloves, 2 wood door wedges, hose strap,
collapsible spanner wrench with built in window punch, seat belt cutter, o2 wrench and gas shut off wrench all in one, nomex hood, 50' 3mm searchline in a bag, thin pair of leather work gloves, 5 duplex nails, flashlight, portable radio, and a tool roll with a multi tip screw driver, vice grips, sping loaded window punch, cheap throw away knife, and a door latch shove knife. Cheap Casio watch.
:D Sorry couldn't resist.

Home-
Mission wallet with a small reg, plain Sebenza, ARC aaa light,
Terzuola ATCF clipped IWB or front pocket, and a Sinn EZM1.
Sometimes a Surefire E2E with TID (cool little bugger)

When I retire to a gun friendly state, the above plus my HK P7M8.

A Victorinox Angler (purchased 1983);
A Toledo "Waltzing Matilda" bunny knife;
A S&W Cuttin' Horse Tanto - straight (bought at a bargain Sun.)

That's right now but I normally have a 3" drop point fixed blade somewhere and am going to buy a Dozier shortly.
