Up from the depths, like a creaking, roaring beast, arises the EDC thread.....rooooooaawwwrrrr!

Um. I'm soon to add an Ed Schempp pocket fixed blade and a BM 805 TSEK to my EDC rotation. FINALLY, I get a TSEK.

I just know your not gonna' believe that I have actually changed my edc....but I have. I currently have my Hinderer Firetac 165. I also will edc a Jeff Hall Phalanx. Both of these knives are great edc's!! :D :D :D

Over the past month or so I have had the great pleasure of adding a MT amphibian manual and a Emerson persian to my edc, also a SAK compact. I can't belive I haven't had a SAK for edc until now. It has become a constant companion generally paired with the MT. I also picked up a Spydie dodo which spends time as my lefty knife.
Oh yeah and the lil loco, weightless and invisible and handy as hell.

Today its the sak and persian and loco. Yesterday was a Vaquero 5 inch, sak, dodo and loco. The most I have carried in quite awhile but was comfortable and low profile.

Victorinox Bantom with Alox handles..

For me the right combination of size (super thin and comfortable) and functionality and I like the look of the alox handles.

Time for new underwear Art??? :p

My EDC remains pretty much the same  , but with an Inova Microlight bumping the Arc AAA from my keyring. We'll see how well it holds up. My EDC knives remain the Victorinox Settler and CRK Mnandi.

Oh yeah, an Inova X1 has found it's way into my back pocket as my new ENC (Every Night Carry) light. Also picked up a Ti ring.

Daily, I carry my Benchmade 722, phone, money clip, pen, wallet, and of course a pair of shades.

Other carry options are my model 530 - a bit smaller than I like, or my 806 - Sadly not legal for concealed carry in Colorado thanks to the OMG FOUR INCHES OF STEEL HURTS WAY MORE THAN THREE law.

I usually have my Walther PPK/S on me, my Emerson Bowie folder, SBT.4, or my Camillus Cuda, and or an ASP 16" aluminum collapsable baton that has a flashlight attachment(very useful), and a pack of Camel Special Lights 100's. The baton is light and small enough to carry in my back pocket. With the light attachment, it's nearly 18" extended. It's what I reach for when someone pulls a knife when my pistol isn't handy - and I have had to use it on a knife wielder before. The knives are more for utility than anything else since I operate a wrecker IE- drive a flatbed tow truck.

Someone mentioned they had a Prestige Laguiole, so I included a pic of mine.

Hmmm.... pity - the Dorcy 1AAA is great value for money and somewhat of a favorite among the Flashaholics over at CPF (CandlePowerForums.com)

It is a "cheap" LED flashlight by current LED prices - but to me a "realistic" price for a flashlight.

There have been tail-switch problems for the unlucky few - but I have had 3 out of 3 that were good, and I EDC one at home, and one for away from home -
although once, on the at home EDC, I erroneously blamed the tail-switch for its problems - it was not, and was short-lived and easily cured - please see:

Dorcy 1AAA tail-switch Problems?

A Master Craftsman with Pliers?

Perhaps you mean the Craftsman?
current model -

OK let's date this -
The hook was introduced in 1991.
Pliers were introduced in 1986....

So what you described has to be between 1986 and 1991, right?

Although I have no date information on the (spam) can-key on the Phillips -
they tend to be on earlier models -
so perhaps we might be able to narrow this down to the earlier part of that date window.....

Hope that helps.
