Mine has good snap on all blades, I have three and one is a bit lazy when closing the main blade but usable, I did some tweaking on all three, basically file down the kick on the main blade because it tends to sit too high when closed for my taste, sharpen the screw driver and the reamer (I like it pointy so that I can scribe with it).

Overall, IMHO it is no match to a SAK Soldier which has the same tools, it is just a simple, inexpensive tough and rough knife.

Luis

Now if I can chance upon a good sample on one of my flea market trips, I'd gladly buy it. The tools on it are of good construction, it's the backsprings that turned me off.

Thanks for the info.

Well, my EDC has not changed much. In my "non work" group, I have added a BM mini-Skirmish to the rotation with the Small Classic Sebbie. I have also added a new light - I replaced my Qiii with my new JilLight 1.3 UP - one SWEET light.

Sproles,

If you're going to have OCD, at least you are doing it RIGHT!

At first I was amused, and then around 5 seconds later I felt envious.

Colubrid -- good on the G36. Me, too, when not a customized SW3913 that's just enough flatter to matter, but does not shoot quite as beautifully. Maybe I'll get it together an post a full EDC picture soon.

Many of us live in places where we don't need to carry pepper spray or a gun.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! For a second I almost thought you were being serious with that!

I live in New Zealand, I have a small ranch in the middle of absolutely nowhere. A man was shot and killed on a nearby farm just a few months ago.

To think that a magical wonderland really exists where there is no crime and you are gurenteed safety is truly a wonderful fantasy. But very anti-Darwin.

I live in the real world, with bad evil people, and I am obdurate/unyielding about survival and personal safety.

Good luck.

Many of us live in a place where we would go to prison for carrying a gun or peper spray .

Now that's a different story.

Nevertheless, guns and pepper spray aren't the only means or tools for self-defense.
A knife, or a cane, or even a carabiner as a makeshift "brass knuckles" if need be. Legal options are there if you look for them, although, I too would prefer a gun ofcourse.

Having said that, Knives can be just as useful.(see 21 foot rule)

Need and law are 2 different things. You need a gun and pepper spray and it doesn't matter where you live.

No. I don't.

It is legal to own guns where I live and I have a Glock, a Galil, a Mossberg and an M14.

But I don't need them for personal defense.

There are safe places in the world and I live in one of them.

Good luck to you Emanuel.

Impressive stuff there Sproles!
Thanks - been working on my "collection" for awhile. I enjoy getting the good stuff and having it around. We have all discussed this before, but there is an interesting obsession with prepartaion around this forum. I mean, REALLY - how often am I going to need a small tube of Super Glue, or 2 "smelling salts" or my Ti-Spork? BUT, dagnabit, I'm gonna' have those suckers when the time is right...right?

Hey, my dad always told me, "any job great or small, do it right or not at all!" Well, I am trying to do this one right. I actually was the same way about 2 years ago when I saw someone else post a picture of THEIR OCD case - that encouraged me to do the same...I will try to find that old picture and show you guys my inspiration...here it is:

Ha HA . Bring a knife to a gun fight mentality.

Aurthur Jones the inventor of Nautilus equipment was once asked by a reporter why he carrys a gun.

He retorted. When you need one, YOU NEED IT BAD.
