EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

This thread is about what we're carrying. While I suspect that some people do take a knife out of its box, take a picture to post, then put the knife away, I don't concern myself with it. I may, occasionally, ask if somebody is actually carrying all the knives in their picture - like when somebody posts a shot of 4 modern folders, or a bunch of fixed blades - but I'm usually hoping the answer is yes... so I feel like less of a freak.

And, to answer your question - I typically carry 3 knives... and the reality is that sometimes I can go weeks without feeling compelled to use them. When I do, the knife often shows no sign of that use; but, if it does, those signs are generally easy to remove (sometimes I leave the smudges there for a while - just to appease the people that comment about new looking knives)

There’s a few threads you can scan thru and see knives being used, what they use them for, and the end result after years of use.

Me personally I use every knife I carry. If it’s in my pocket it’s getting used. I work in the trades so mine are getting used quite often as are a lot of other folks here. There’s also guys here who work in office settings and the need to use a knife doesn’t come up near as much, and they’ll tell you that. Doesn’t mean they can’t carry and enjoy the same knives as I do. I use CRKs. You can take a beat to hell scratched up CRK and in the right lighting it look brand new, tilt it a touch and see all the scars.

I’ve got a 4WD truck but I can promise you I don’t use the four wheel drive more than I use it. It’s there when I need it tho.
