EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Cardboard cutting...boring but it's gotta get done.

I say get it. I'll not only take the blame, I'll outright condone it. I've been wanting to get the Les George Talon but I haven't caught it on sale yet. I also see there is a CF ELC now. You're right in saying the Ti ELC for $150 is a great deal.

Well you're no help at all--just another BF enabler looking to push fellow members along in the race toward bankruptcy. :p I'll respond by encouraging you to pick up that Talon. It currently shows on the WC site as out-of-stock and I wonder if Les and Wilson will offer it again. I do occasionally see one on the Exchange.

Among my WC knives--including the now-two ELCs, a large 25 Starbenza, and StarTac--is the Les George Eagle which is broad, but extremely thin and easy in pocket and now shows as discontinued at WC. It rides on Teflon washers and is not the snappiest of flippers, but I've found that careful reassembly, sensitive pivot tensioning, and lubing with liquid TriFlow yields decent enough action. I gave its CTS-XHP re-curved blade a re-profile and it's a great cutter and a favorite work user. I was always curious about the Talon, so pick one up if you can find it and let me know how you like it. ;)

ZT 609 today.

Great pic and one of ZT’s best EDC sized offerings imo packing a lot of blade in a small, light package. beautiful RJ Martin design with its intricately milled chevron pattern on the Ti handle slabs, see through pivot, and nice harpoonish blade shape. After seeing yours its the one today on this soggy afternoon

Thank you! Yes it's an awesome knife, one of my favorite ZT's. I couldn't find anything better to carry on the last day of the year. Happy New Year buddy!

I thought that's why we're here. You mean we're supposed to talk each other out of buying more knives? Like knives anonymous or something? Woah, I completely misread the room.

I should just get it. I have three Les George Talos, it's one of my favorite designs, and I love Les George knives in general. I own a handful of the VECP flippers in various finishes, each generation of the regular VECP once or twice, and some other of his collaborations with other makers. The Talon is the collaboration with WC of the Talos. Need to just do it already. I'll let you know for sure.
