I agree the 0562 is a great knife. We are lucky to have the pattern still available and luckier still to have some great aftermarket vendors making hardware and scales allowing us to customize the knife to fit our own personal tastes.

I wish an aftermarket company would make a pocket clip for the ZT 0562, the second biggest issue I have with the knife is that the pocket clip doesn't fit thicker work pants... also disappointing how they made the framelock/flipper so slick... and removed all the jimping compared to the XM-18 or 0560... they should of at least kept the milled ti-framelock design from the 0560. So close to being a great knife... but, I always end up selling them as they just end up disappointing me.

I would also like it if an aftermarket company would make a nice titanium clip, but that would require a new aft barrel spacer with a wider space to accommodate a thicker clip. I think this is the reason we haven’t seen one. I don’t find the flipper tab to be much of an issue. I have never experienced a poor deployment from its design. I have seen one knife where the owner added jumping, but personally felt it was unnecessary. I like the 560 as well, but my main grip with the knife was the jimping near the flipper tab. It always wore my finger raw. The 0562 corrects this. The 0560 titanium frame is a work of art though.

Ah, I use gloves a lot (primarily tactical gloves) and I've found the finish they put on the flipper/framelock extremely slippery while wearing gloves. Finger has even slipped off the side of the flipper once or twice while wearing gloves. I think the 0562 is definitely more "EDC" friendly vs tactical/hard use, but always fell into this awkward in-between where I never EDC'd it and I never used it if I wanted a tactical/hard use folder.

Today’s post is for all those folks who live/work on a farm, ranch, in the mountains or the bush. It’s a different kinda livin’.

Woke up to some snow flurries and rain this morning. Decided it would be a good day for some green brush burning. Get it done while the ground and trees are wet, and before the bugs hit us full season.

Threw the CPK FK1 on my belt, my Large Sebenza in my RF pocket and my modded Case slippie in my backpocket. Let’s do this.

I am a firm believer in the CM inverted carry position. Especially when it is chilly and I need to wear warmer upper clothing. Just makes it so accessible when needed, without having to lift up my jacket.

Break time. My lovely wife brought out an apple and a warm drink. Then put on her work boots to help get the job done.

Watchin’ it finally burn down, the remnants of a hard days work. 8 hrs of constantly feeding the flames while thinning the bush and burning up the trees we felled a couple weekends ago. Feels good.

Thank goodness for food and company at the end of the day.

This kinda life ain’t for everyone. It’s hard, probably die sooner...but there is no better place than being in nature, and working hard on your land.

I hope everyone’s weekend treated them well.
Get out and use those knives. :)

You just made me tired and hungry all at the same time !
Beautiful pictures and Thank you for sharing:)
Much respect for the life style You’ve chose and I’m sure many are with envy with the exception of the work involved. Although I bet is very rewarding in many ways

....

What happened to all the car pictures?

Lol, kinda figured the car pics might be getting a bit stale. The pool table gets a lot of filtered light in the mornings...which seems to highlight the colors a bit better on the more vibrant knives.

Plus, about a week ago my wife snuck up on me while I was taking some knife pics in my car. She knocked on the window, startling me to the point I nearly crapped myself right then and there. Had the knife actually been in my hand I’d have probably sliced right through one of my seats.....or stabbed myself in the groin. I dunno, the whole thing left me a bit traumatized. Definitely not my manliest moment.

Anyway, I knew I was pushing it with this venue as well. Tomorrow I’ll muster up some courage and try the car thing again....or, if it’s not another sweltering hot day, I may even step out of the air conditioning and try to reconnect with nature.
